One of MSNBC's most popular liberal hosts is seriously considering leaving the cable news network according to a Daily Beast report.
Rachel Maddow has been the top ratings host for the progressive network, but her contract is ending next year, and the negotiations with MSNBC are not going well.

i.e. her ratings are in the tank and she might be taking a haircut during her salary negotiations for this year so her agent is floating “other options” rumors.
Now that's a phrase I never thought I'd see.
She must have heard that some other employer is offering better rugs and scissors.
Negotiations not going her way as threatening to leave is the last leverage she has....doubt it went this far without the network having a replacement in mind.
I read recently that a new cable channel is on the horizon: “UDC” (The Ugly Dyke Channel).
