This is my personal opinion therefore it's worth nothing at all, BUT am I the only person who sees Afghani's storming the US Embassy compound in Kabul wanting to flee with the last of the US military personnel in a few weeks or months?

Spent a year in Danang 1967-68. Also, 8 months off the coast on an LPH.
The North Vietnamese violated the peace treaty and we did nothing about it. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
It has been US policy ever since.
It will be a repeat of itself. We invaded Afghanistan because it was a base of operations for the terrorists that perpetrated 9/11, with the Taliban in control. Now the Taliban is in control again, so it was all for nothing.

Afghanistan is going to back to the same exact thing it was before November 2001.
A phony theocracy where the leadership made money growing opium, turning it into heroin and shipping it all over the world.
The people will go back to living the same way they were before and folks will have their heads cut off or shot in the head, in front of their families.
Only now, some of the younger ones taking over have a little more technical know-how and have cultivated relationships with China and Russia.
The thing to do is get everyone out, shut down the embassy and expel all the Afghani diplomats that are in the US. Of course, they’ll all ask for political asylum, probably get it, when they should be taken to Dulles and put on the first thing headed to Dubai. Let them deal with it from there.

I’m a VN combat vet and 50 years ago I’d never have believed that I would ever buy a good winter coat made in Vietnam.
But I’ll choose something made in Vietnam over something made in China.

They have already been promised that in Taiwan...and California.
The Chinese will be much smarter than the Soviet Union and the United States: they will just pay off the Taliban for "security services" then move in and start extracting resources. No need to waste money fighting another war.
Myself, I think Biden is going to repeat Iran or Benghazi but this time with hundreds or thousands of Americans butchered by the Muslims.
They will make us look like the fools we are—we shouldn’t have tried “Nation Building”—It doesn’t work any better than the Soviets trying to make them communists. They will make Biden appear like a bumbling failure (not hard) and embolden Russia to move west, China to seize Taiwan, and Iran to capture Sumer. Look to see North Korea to become active again as well.
Picture the successful American occupation and reconstruction of Germany, Japan and South Korea. Now picture the Biden regime as an occupying force, benevolently installing a democratic republican form of government.
Me also. I see tons of stuff in various stores made in Nam now. I agree, I am sick of lousy made Red China crap. They are even making drugs, our computer chips, you name it, they are making it and selling it to us and the money goes to the Red Chinese People Commie Army and Navy. WE, yes, the wonderful citizens of this Republic, ARE FUNDING AND BUILDING THE RED CHINESE SUPER SUBMARINES AND AIRCRAFT CARRIERS, to carry the exact, plans stolen from the USA, aircraft, looks just like ours, runs like ours, and a lot of the technology came right out of Slick Willie Klinton and his ugly fat @$$ wife, the Beast!!

P.S. Nor will Afghanisan ever modernize to be useful as an ally beyond materiel they are given by advanced nations.
China when it enters will go in differently. China will establish defended enclaves with protected roads and airfields in order to extract the valuable minerals with which Afghanistan is abundantly blessed. China will “keep the peace” by occasional or regular raids that annihilate a village or a fighting force then return to the enclaves so that fear is what keeps the perimeters safer. China will not engage in Nation Building. China will engage in Terror.
