Is it illegal to dress up in a Hazmat suit and mark driveways with red-X's?
dress up, no
mark other peoples property without permission, yes
Not creative enough.
Use clear invisible UV paint, with your choice of stencil, on the curb.
Illuminate it with a hand held UV flashlight, for the benefit of your
“victims”, or even better, as a posted warning for others who know
how to check…
Don’t get shot or sued for marking the neighborhood “Karen Zones”… ;-)
All I need is a thermal signature.
Red Xs are probably an issue, but if it was a Rainbow X you could claim you were just trying to express your love for perverts....
;-)
Probably illegal ... trespass and vandalism.
On my property, that might be an inconvenience. Is a class A suit rottweiler proof?
I worked hazmat for many years. You are largely correct, but we got a lot more than 20 minutes out of our 60 minute bottles. And while we typically did have two people assisting with getting us into the suit. The two doing it would spend a couple minutes on one guy and then move onto his partner. We also used vests with packets of frozen blue goo that lasted about as long as the bottles when it was hot out to help keep us from getting overheated as quickly. But full level A hazmat suits are always a pain.
Typically we used the suits to collect samples, to patch leaking vessels or open and close valves. These are not real labor intensive. Of course occasionally did we have to drag someone out of a hazardous place and get them to our decon area. Depending on the hazard we had to wear a level A suit while doing decon. (decontamination)
Why do you ask ?
I just thought the meme was funny, not that I would do that myself. It’s a good way to get shot.
as a former LEO... I can only say that it is a crime to “impersonate” an officer. However! I learned a hard lesson about lawyers. A lawyer shows up and says “...he may have pretended to be a policeman..., but he didn’t “impersonate” any particular police officer. Lawyers... courts... judges... juries. THE DEN OF INIQUITY.
What makes you think I’m trying to impersonate an officer?
I’m just a guy in a Type A Hazmat suit, who likes red x’s.
Are you familiar with what a ricochet
sounds like? Wouldn’t shoot to kill,
but you would be screwing with my
property, and you’ll become aware
of my displeasure.
If you spray paint my brand new $10k driveway, you won’t have to worry about legal.
And when the concrete people return next week to pour the new stamped patio...they’ll be pouring concrete over some freshly turned soil.
Legal smeagle.
