Remember obesity is the number one comorbidity that predicts death. You are 3 times more likely to die if you are obese and are hospitalized with COVID than if you are hospitalized with COVID and not obese.

Nobody will ever be allowed to be sick again until we can steal all the stuff.

In “The War of the Worlds”, the Martian invaders were killed by the Common Cold.

Looks like our civilization will go out in a pretty similar fashion.

I spent about a year aggressively dieting and exercising before I got the ‘rona. Went from BMI of just over 30 to about 28. I wonder how that figured in my recovery.

It might have helped a bit, but keep it up. The real payoff is enjoying a better quality of life and being around longer for family, especially grandkids and great grandkids. FWIW, COVID morbidity goes up as BMI increases. The highest risk is well above 30. I'm not sure there's a whole lot of difference between 30 and 28.

If you are not hungry three times a day (before meals) you are doing it wrong.

The encouraging sign is that the uptick in deaths is far, far lower than the rise in cases.

Correct. And that’s true irrespective of age.
