In an exclusive conversation with UCR, Gene Simmons revealed his thoughts on touring during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“My druthers would be that everybody is mandated to get vaccines,” the Kiss bassist confesses. “I hope everybody is going to be wearing their masks. But we can only control what we can control and different states and different countries have different rules.”
Kiss is currently slated to resume their End of the Road tour on Aug. 18. The trek spans deep into 2022, with Simmons estimating that the band will add “anywhere between 150 to 200 cities additionally.” In years past, the iconic rock group has offered ticket packages that included meet and greets. However, given health and safety protocols, those have been eliminated for this tour.
“Backstage, we’re not doing any meet and greets. Obviously, we’re giving up a pretty penny, because fans pay a premium to come up and take photos and stuff. That’s gone,” Simmons explains. “We are not allowing roadies or anybody else to be anywhere backstage unless they’re vaccinated and the masks are on the whole time.”
Simmons further explains that he has no time for people who stubbornly insist that COVID vaccinations impede upon their freedoms.
“'I have my rights, don’t tell me what to do.' Which is curious, because you do not have the right to drive down the highway in a car without a seatbelt. You must stop at a red light. That’s not a right you have,” the rocker declares. “And you don’t have the right to walk naked down the street. These are not life-threatening ideas. We’re talking about a fuckin’ pandemic and people are fighting it.”
“I blame our former president,” Simmons admits, referring to Donald Trump, whom he spent extended time with on the reality TV show Celebrity Apprentice. “I knew the man before he entered politics. But he got vaccinated and so have most of the other party.”
Ultimately, Simmons says he’s less concerned with people who choose to stay unvaccinated than those who they may impact.
“I’m not worried -- and it’s unkind to say this -- I’m not worried if an idiot gets COVID and dies,” the rocker matter-of-factly states. “I’m worried he takes other people with him. Who didn’t have a choice. It doesn’t have to be death. Being in a hospital is horrific. There are so many cases of people who were deniers and who are begging in the hospital to get the vaccine. But it’s too late.”
While the End of the Road tour was paused during the pandemic’s height, Simmons reignited his passion for drawing and painting. This fall, the legendary musician will show some of his artwork publicly for the first time. Gene Simmons ArtWorks will run Oct. 14-16 at the Animazing Gallery in Las Vegas.
It’s so weird how people care what a celebrity thinks.
I mean, if he spoke up about his bass playing techniques, the recording industry, or the ups and downs of being a rock star, I might listen.. but this?

I look at all the problems going on today and feel that it is the failures of my generation manifesting in the behavior of the ruling class.
Gene is one of the best at making money from limited ability and I’ve always respected his business acumen but wow has his dude been brainwashed. Democrats lie and think we won’t notice, even after we catch then in pictures or on video. I saw an article about John Kerry doing that, and you can give that a look at Summit, ‘State Department Denies Kerry Took Private Jet to Obama Party Despite Photos Showing Him Exiting It’. The left expects that we will trust them instead of what we see with our own eyes, namely him getting off of his private plane before heading to that party. Cloth isn’t magical and real vaccine don’t require distancing, masks or boosters. Simmons bought the left’s propaganda hook, line and sinker.
There is a reason we were born with an immune system and no mask. Someone needs to hip Gene to that.

The vaccine, useful though it may be in “flattening the curve”, is no panacea for COVID-10 Wuhan virus. There are effective measures that may be taken to reduce both transmission and the likelihood of infection.
First of all - Masks. Do. Not. Work. At least, not in the reduction of the transmission of the disease. They make a very good virtue signal, and identify the wearer as either a sap, or under compulsion by other saps. Washing and/or sanitizing the hands at frequent intervals is vastly more effective, and being outdoors in the air and sunshine makes it virtually impossible to spread the virus particles, which are quickly made non-viable in the presence of the UV-C radiation which is a part of the sun’s spectrum, and even trace amounts of ozone, formed by sunlight action on oxygen molecules, immediately destroy the virus particle’s integrity.
Then there is personal preventative steps that may be taken to either act as a prophylaxis against acquiring the infection in the first place, like sufficient zinc ion plus an effective ionophore that makes the virus particle absorb the Zn++ ion, stopping its capability to replicate, or as a treatment of a beginning infection, by use of a hydroxychloroquine-zinc-azithromycin protocol or the use of ivermectin, both established as treatments for active cases of COVID-19 Wuhan virus.
Going to the extreme of using a ventilator actually does more harm than good, in the absence of other treatment, as it drives the active infection even deeper into lung tissues, exacerbating the effects or even accelerating death. But what do I know, I am but a layman, relying of reports from medical specialists.
Perhaps the introduction of nitric oxide in the blood stream could manage to get the necessary oxygen levels to the point of decimating and controlling the virus load until the natural body defenses kick in and respond by seeking out and deactivating the COVID-19 Wuhan virus particles, and allowing the body to restore to health.
Well, if the vax works and you got it, then you’re safe, are you not?
Then why would you be concerned about someone else’s vax status?
However, if you think you’re in danger from the unvaxxed even while you are vaxxed, then you must really think the vax doesn’t work after all.
So if it doesn’t work for you to be safer, then why would you think it would work for someone else to be safer and thereby make you safer?
Why would you expect it to work for others and not yourself?
So the whole world will be vaxxed and still nobody will be safe, so everyone got vaxxed for no reason.
Why doesn’t he talk about the high cure rate of covid? Kiss is on their never ending farewell tour, where they’re taking every cent they can get out of the fans. Paul Stanley lip synced the entire tour. If he thinks covid is so serious, why did Kiss do a show on NYE in Dubai, and then have dates booked as soon as things opened up again? He blames Trump, because he thinks Kiss will look good in the media.

What will be will be. Truth is, nobody among TPTB have told the truth either way. In the end, it’s a crap shoot. You take your chances and have confidence that you’re in a right relationship with God.
Vaccinated people spread virus too. The masks are useless. The “vaccines” may be worse than useless.
This thing is going to follow the course of all viruses. We like to think that “science will save us”, but smallpox and polio are the outliers. What we’re really trying to do today is equivalent to curing the common cold. Good luck with that.
