Actress Markie Post, known for her roles in "Night Court" and "The Fall Guy" among many others, has died at 70, according to multiple reports.
Post died after a battle with cancer, her manager confirmed to multiple outlets Saturday night.
Post first began appearing in TV roles in 1979, guest starring on shows such as "Cheers," "The Love Boat," and "The A-Team," before landing her role on "The Fall Guy," and, later, as Christine Sullivan on "Night Court."
Other roles included a lead in "Hearts Afire" opposite John Ritter in the 1990s and more recently in "The Kids are Alright."
Post's family said in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, “But for us, our pride is in who she was in addition to acting; a person who made elaborate cakes for friends, sewed curtains for first apartments and showed us how to be kind, loving and forgiving in an often harsh world.”
Post is survived by her husband, actor and writer Michael A. Ross, and the couple's two daughters.
Sorry to tell you, but Charles Robinson passed away last month, also due to cancer.
I believe you have a firm grasp of the obvious!
Was it the Franks or the Beans?
LMAO!!!
Somewhere, Dan Fielding is crying.
Mostly from memory.
I DID check to see which ones have died but I missed one. Charles Robinson (Mac) died just last month from cancer.
I loved Selma but she died after the first season. Flo never did the trick for me and was replaced by Warfield after Flo died after season two.
I knew the original court clerk, the ditzy Lana, had been replaced but had to check the actresses name.
Hey!
I’ve watched every episode of that show at least five times!
“Sorry to tell you, but Charles Robinson passed away last month, also due to cancer.”
Thanks for the heads up.
I loved Robinson’s deadpan delivery as a counter to all the comedy on the show.
That’s not Ellen Foley in the video, though it’s her voice. The woman in the video is Karla DeVito, who toured with Meat Loaf.
At least she didn’t die of covid.
Rush found her very attractive if I remember correctly.
Richard Moll aka Bull is still with us.
RIP Marine Post and prayers to her family. Night Court was funny and politically incorrect...
Me too she was my dream date every night as a teen...
Night Court can’t be rebooted in this age of Wokism... Another one I loved back then was Barney Miller, and you can’t reboot it either...
I remember her as one of the late 70s NBC starlets on the show “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.” She was a brunette then.
This picture worked but the one from post #48 did not.
