Why aren’t we sending all our woke college kids to reason with them instead?, maybe a few plane loads of Social Workers would help too.

We knew that withdrawing meant a Taliban takeover. Which means we will have to deal with Taliban as the government of Afghanistan.
So why bother to bomb them? How does that help anything?

Afghanistan has been a s**t show from day one. Nothing has changed. My only regret is that the US didn't kill more of the ragheads.

Information not approved for domestic distribution or dissemination, according to the government run echo chamber newsrooms around the United States.
That said however, official news for today advises all those unmasked outdoors that squirrels are now testing positive for the deadly Delta Variant and all reasonable precautions should be taken.
Such precautions include staying indoors and on your phones at all times, buying stuff on-line from Amazon, sharing likes on approved Facebook content, reporting any neighbors who may be irresponsible unvaxed gun owners, and encourage little children to report their parents to authorities if they see anything suspicious in their households.(stuff like flags or the constitution)

Looks as if the chances are slim that you’ll end up being named the first U.S. Ambassador to the soon-to-be-established Republic of Talibanistan.

Or just give them lots of money.
That’s what we do with everyone else that wants to kill us. Just pay them.

And day one was at least a couple of centuries before the first U.S. boot hit the ground.

You can not conquer Afghanistan unless you are willing to be brutal enough to kill all opposition. The British, the Soviet nor are the Americans were brutal enough.
The Taliban are.

Did it for a while starting in the 1790’s until we got our deepwater Navy MoJo rolling.
So it’s not as if the practice is unprecedented.

Trying to help the Afghan army that’s American trained? Only that is reason to bomb them during a pull out. So reminiscent of Vietnam.
I wish we could put soldiers or at least back the border patrol on the southern border. Maybe use them at home? It’s all such a tragedy.
