I have been busy making a fish hook big enough to put those worms on.

Y’r gonna need a bigger boat.
I read the six Dune books at 18 years to 22ish. Must have missed the plot hole. What was it?
The miniseries sucked.
The Bene Gesserits were dressed like Southern Belles prior to the Civil War...............
David Lynch pulled those “weirding modules” out of his back pocket for the film since they were not mentioned in the books, and Baron Harkonnen was fat but not covered with facial boils. Literary license, I guess.
I saw that documentary, It’s a shame it was never made.

Somehow I've managed to survive all these years missing Sting. I expect I'll carry on.
I use an inner tube.
I tie on a six pack as a kind of anchor.
Yes, he annoys me. As does Chaini, with her freakishly small head and black Liet Kynes.
I liked it, its better than the 1984 movie, had it flaws but good, well agree to disagree.
I look at it like this:
The 1984 movie go the costumes correct, but not the storyline.
The 2000’s Miniseries got the storyline correct, but not the costumes.
Perhaps this new movie will get BOTH correct!.................
It's been a long time but let me think. There was a guy who was the body guard of the royal guy who had to marry off his daughter to the Dune guy. The Dune guy was supposed to be some kind of super dude with a superior intellect. The bodyguard guy could have been one of those super dudes but he was a eunech. He still had the intellect and fighting skills though. After the Dune guy killed they guy played by Sting in the movie the Royal guy ordered the body guard to kill the Dune guy but he refused and the 2 of them went into exile. Even my not-so-super intellect figured out that even if the bodyguard didn't want to kill him all he had to do was beat him and show everyone he wasn't the super dude everyone thought he was. But that wouldn't have made for a good sequel.
The Fremen would be harvesting plenty of the Woke’s water without a second’s worth of remorse.
WOW!
I generally speaking don’t like remakes/do overs, but this one looks AWESOME!
I LOVED the 1984 movie!
Would have preferred for them to do a Dune sequel, as Dune was done in 2001 as a mini series. Still looking forward to it a bit anxiously that it doesn’t get screwed up. I love the Dune universe, probably my favorite sci fi writings of all time.
Personally I loved the prequels which talk about the crusade against computers, written by his son.
This trailer looks good. I'd be willing to give it another go based on this trailer.
The “Lovely Feyd” scene still gives me the creeps.
I tried to read the Dune books when I was in college- I could not finish them.
I had some friends who were like totally into it.
The movie had some brilliantly filmed scenes (like the one where the ‘train’ car containing the creature was rolled in) but it was nearly as incoherent as the books.
And all the ‘whispered thoughts’ voice over drove me nuts.
Rewatch the old ones.
Blue eyes are racist.
