That brings up the broader question of when to believe what you see on the Internet, or anywhere, for that matter.
I suppose some skeptic with resources could order a sample of SARS-CoV-2 from a researcher who claims to have isolated it, and do his own analysis. But then we’d have to trust the skeptic. Better, we’ll each have to do it ourselves. And trust the equipment.
