How can you have a "Delta Variant Surge" if you cannot test for the "Delta" variant???? More lies and fakery to scare the masses. So now they will be shoving a booster shot at people for a variant they can't test for??? This article appears to have come out at the beginning of this year. It doesn’t seem to talk about Delta specifically, but does discuss the business of variants generally. The researchers distinguish variants by the nucleic acid sequences in their genomes.
Notably,
“A subset of such mutations enable escape from neutralizing antibodies or are thought to enhance transmission through mechanisms such as increased affinity for the cell entry receptor, ACE2.”
I imagine that at the time they considered “neutralizing antibodies” to be a consequence of the natural immune response to the virus. But the vaccines induce the production of “neutralizing antibodies” as well, directly or indirectly. Given that Delta seems to doing a decent job of dodging vaccine-induced immunity, it seems plausible that the selection pressure favoring Delta came from the vaccines themselves. They selectively kill off Alpha, making the surviving Delta dominate.
No, not all of them. They take samples of the positive samples. Statistics and all that.

They used a test that couldn’t distinguish between covid and flu for more than a year.
They set the testing cycle of the tests high enough to create false positives according to the inventor of the test.
They stopped the high cycle testing once Biden was in.
They stopped reporting on Vaxxed people.
Now it is the latest fear porn.
They haven’t released any data I’ve seen as to how many “gene-sequenced” Delta tests have been done.
They simply make it up to coerce people.
How it is done isn’t the question, but rather when is it being done. I work in two hospitals, in the Emergency Department, and we routinely test all patients suspected of Covid of course, along with anyone being admitted or transferred. Once the lab has finished the test they destroy the swabs, as they do with most biological material. So in these two cases, how would anyone know what variant produced a positive? It’s a topic of frequent discussion in the health community where I live, and nobody knows of any genetic testing being done here.

The PCR test is wildly inaccurate and can return positive results for people with all sorts of viruses, the seasonal flu or even the common cold.

My belief is that your take is correct.
Notice that the virus is able to create a successful strain (there have been more failures) in less time than our frantic and panic-driven government can “Warp Speed” any remedy. This does not bode well for this tactic of engagement.
Note also that survival for the virus in a population of the “vaccinated” will be driven most strongly by that vaccination. The virus will not be limited by its effect on the unvaccinated if there is enough of a “vaccinated” population to survive. It can freely mutate to the lethality (for the unvaccinated) of the original SARS-COV as long as vaccination allows it to.
Does this explain the actions of those who have just seized control of this country using this?
