Nancy Pelosi's California home has been targeted by protesters who taped a fake eviction notice on the House Speaker's front door and demanded an extension of the federal eviction moratorium.
About 40 activists arrived outside Pelosi's San Francisco home on Saturday, just hours before the moratorium's last extension expired leaving more than 10 million Americans facing the prospect of being told to leave their homes.
The notice, one protester told KCBS Radio, read: "Dear Speaker Pelosi, you are hereby given immediate notice that millions of Americans will face eviction tonight when the eviction moratorium expires.
"We call upon you to immediately call Congress to session to vote to extend the eviction moratorium and keep people in their homes. We're in the midst of the second-worst COVID surge to date and this is not the time to allow evictions to begin.
"Housing is a human right #evictionmorotorium #eviction crisis."
Another, Chris Evans, told Fox News: "The reason that we're at her house is that she has a beautiful mansion in Pacific Heights in San Francisco, and it shows how out of touch she is with the people that are facing a situation [of eviction]."
It was unclear if anyone was in the home at the time activists gathered outside to protest after the administration of Joe Biden said on Thursday it would allow the moratorium to expire.

The government does not have the right to force owners to provide an apartment to people who don’t pay. Any such law or EO is invalid from the outset.

I wonder how many landlords have completely lost their homes or buildings due to this completely illegal law.
I wonder what % of back rent from the last year will be paid back. 20%? 30?
So the Federal gub mint has been giving $300.00 a week extra for unemployment bennies to go along with ones state bennies and many folks took the money and failed to pay their rent or mortgage?
And the feds made it so you can’t be evicted for non payment.

In a sane world it would boggle the mind as to how an eviction moratorium is needed when for the past year the state and federal governments were paying people enough money to eventually entice them to NOT go back to work, thus creating our current “labor shortage”.
In a sane world a rational person would look at this and ask themselves “If people were paying their rent before Feburary of 2020, and made enough, if not more on unemployment, then why is the moratorium needed in the first place? Where’s that money going?”
But this isn’t a sane world anymore.
Now we’re going to get a plague of squatters demanding they have rights. It’s going to cost owners big $$$$$ to get them evicted through the court systems, even as the liberal justice system slow-rolls the cases. Then when they finally get evicted, don’t think they’re not going to damage the property and steal things of any value.
Outside of the fact, this moratorium is plainly illegal, and she should do nothing, note that this evil creature is using this issue to blame Republicans

Agreed. But mob rule is almost always orchestrated by someone or some group as a way to subvert the current process. If they can not get what they want from the rule of law, they will stir up the mob to threaten, destroy and harm as a means to get what they demand.
That is exactly what the antifa and blm riots were about and will be again when they need them.
They wont be leaving ‘their’ homes...they’ll be leaving someone elses home because they didnt pay the rent for the last 18 months...

Trump and Republicans didn’t evict during the Covid crisis. Just remind everyone about that. Gas prices were cheaper. Food was cheaper.

Too many people Used COVID as an excuse to get away without paying rent, when they were able to do so. The bill is now coming due.
