I’ve been listening all morning to try and figure out just how many people, other than military, we still have in Afghanistan.
Regarding the ‘shelter in place’ edict.....interesting comment, on the forum thread....saying ‘this is to allow all of the brass/pets/etc to get first seats’ (paraphrasing).

That was the name of the country under the Taliban government ousted by U.S.-led forces in 2001.

And it’s not just our embassy.
Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Australia, UK, and Canada are all trying to evacuate their embassies or get their citizens out.
If I nap I’m awake all night.
After watching the horror in Kabul, I went out to get some food and there was a pickup waving a huge flag of Mexico in front of me. If I was in a semi I’d want to run over him.
