Interesting that there haven’t been any videos about Biden in the past week that I could find at Sky News Australia.

Here’s the latest video: Afghanistan President Ahraf Ghani to remobilise troops against Taliban insurgency https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlXbPfcTmro

Why didn’t the US military turn all this left equipment over to the Afghanis instead of leaving it where it could fall into the Taliban’s hands? Maybe there’s not any type of Afghani troops to turn them over to? Didn’t the military/Biden Administration give the Afghani President any type of heads up? And this is the military we expect to overthrow the Biden Administration?

Some of the Cruz supporters gave pretty good Opus threads.

I kind of thought they would come back, after they saw what a great job Trump was doing. Maybe some did, I didn’t really pay attention. It’s always best just to stay on this thread.

Anyone know if there is a live thread about the events in Haiti and Alaska?

“Roy...just so handsome.”

Aww thx. That’s what I always called Roy for a nickname, “handsome”. He was just sweet inside and out. Although he had super long and thick hair, it very rarely matted. Unlike his sisters. And he loved to be brushed, to be groomed. He would purr and he would hold his head up so I could comb out his mane. And if he ever did have a matt he would sit there patiently while I worked it out. Unlike his sisters.

This is the sad part, I never realized how much he loved me until about six months ago. Right before we moved. I would always come into a room and he would be purring. Wherever he was laying. I just thought he purred all the time. I went downstairs to hubby’s office one day and corduroy was sitting there purring. I said something about it and hubby said that he only started purring when I came in the room. All these years, about fifteen and a half of them, and I never knew that. I hope I gave him enough special attention. It was hard with somewhere between three and four cats and a dog.

“What I don’t get though, is how do you measure the IQ of a newborn?”

Good question. That’s right up there with how do you figure out the eyesight of a cat. I thought I would learn that this week but apparently it’s not something that can be done definitively.

“and reported the poison data to the federal authorities “

I wonder what agency is safe to report things to.

“I kept a couple of things with rusty’s hair too.”

Don’t tell anyone but I have bags of hair. When grooming The Silvers, I would get quite a large pile. I just kept putting it in sandwich bags until one was full. Each one with their name on it. And then when I trim Cooper I would save his fur clippings.

I’m not sure why. I did think with the kitties maybe one day I could spin it into yarn and then make a sweater.

That is so sweet, CB. It reminds me of any old expression about people:

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who brighten a room when they enter, and those who brighten a room when they leave.

Sounds like you brought love into the room in your kitty’s world. That’s a nice thought.

Some small dogs think they are big dogs and are fearless. I had a pekingese that actually bit a few people. I read that the breed used to guard palaces. They don’t seem as high strung as some small dogs are. I get along with cats better, but I loved my daughters bull mastiff and he loved me. I actually was more upset saying goodbye to him when they moved than the humans, because he’s old for his breed and I didn’t know if I’d see him again.

Actually turned out Cruz supported Trump’s agenda more than most, I suspect because Trump kept his promises and then some. Rand Paul too.

I went to a little shop in Bodego Bay once and it was all scarves, caps, sweaters, etc., from pet hair. I told the owner about rusty long beautiful hair that I had to have shaved occasionally, and she gave me her card because she wanted it. I thought about it, some of my friends thought it was creepy, so I never called her.
You’re fortunate Roy let you groom him. Rusty wasn’t so cooperative. In California I took him to a cat groomer and got a poodle cut, and he was fine with it. When I moved back to Texas there are no cat groomers unless it’s a vet and they use anesthesia. I didn’t like it, but had no choice. Before he died, his hair was matted and I snipped some and used conditioner but didn’t want him to go through going go vet and the drugs. I always hope I made the right decision.
