That’s a good question, I’ve always wondered about that. I have a cousin in Italy, liberal, and any time something horrible happens here she has to contact me. She didn’t call or text me at all during Trump’s term when we had record employment, businesses coming back, she had no comment on any of that. But she couldn’t wait to contact me about the January 6th pretend riot.
All I can figure is they are like Gladys Kravitz. They’ve made such a mess of their own countries and are miserable. So they keep looking out the window to see if we are still doing well or have problems, cuz if anything is bad about us, they feel a little better about their poor choices.

Honestly, I can’t hear about animal cruelty, it drives me nuts. It’s all I will think about for a short time, or maybe even a long time if it’s really bad. That’s why I can’t volunteer at the local rescue groups. Seems that everyone wants to give the horrific details of the animals background. It probably makes people that adopt them feel better that the animal will have a good life now. But it does the opposite to me.

I’m not sure PG&E committed any crimes. We had electric service with them up in the mountains. They didn’t make a penny off of us. They always had to come up and restore service, one time the storm was so bad that it took out so many lines that they had to bring up this huge generator for a couple weeks for everybody. That cost them a fortune.
Providing electricity to rural areas is always going to be problematic. If people want brand new underground lines put in, they’ll pay an arm and a leg for electric. I don’t know why people think it’s such an easy problem to fix and PG&E is just nasty. I’m amazed they even bother to do the rural areas, it certainly isn’t worth their time and lack of profit.
I think Newsome threatened to take over providing electricity to rural areas. PG&E probably jumped up and down clapping saying here you go. Then he realized his government would never be able to handle it so he had to provide PG&E some protection from bankruptcy. Or they would have just walked out, leaving a good part of California without power.
