The policy will go into effect September 7. "We are requiring all guests to show proof they are fully vaccinated," a pop-up notice on the website said, adding, "Our teams are required to be fully vaccinated as well." Guests will be asked to bring their "physical Covid-19 vaccine card, your New York State Excelsior Pass, your relevant state-provided vaccine pass, or a photo of your vaccination card to share upon arrival," according to the hospitality group's website.

It will be very interesting to see what the DOJ and courts do when we suddenly have businesses all over the country able to require some kind of health test in order for a person to be admitted to their business. It won't take long before people will be claiming discrimination because of the lesser vaccination rate of some group will cause a disparate impact on that group.
I think discrimination based on vaccine status has no legitimate basis, since unvaccinated people should not present much of a risk to vaccinated people, and in fact the reverse is true since vaccinated people are more likely to have asymptomatic infections.
Denying service to people based on a test which has no actual purpose is a classic example of discrimination.
More than a few of Meyer’s fellow franchisees ate likely displeased with his actions and attitude.

Really dumb on multiple levels. This isn’t going to convince anyone to get the shot, so you’ve just lost a sizable chunk of your customers. Others, that just don’t like the policy, even if vaccinated, will also boycott. You’re also easily avoided, there’s nothing so compelling about your business that I can’t get elsewhere.

I ate there once. Really expensive and burgers not that good. I’ll keep going to the drive trhough at In-and-Out. Better burgers at a better price.

Traditionally it would be prudent to just decide to take you business elsewhere but this is a unique situation.
He is publicly berating unvaccinated people. Might as well publicly push back on it.
I like it when business owners make it easy to know what side they are on. I trust all patriots never go to this place.
