Danny Meyer: If you want to be unvaccinated, 'you can dine somewhere else'
The policy will go into effect September 7. "We are requiring all guests to show proof they are fully vaccinated," a pop-up notice on the website said, adding, "Our teams are required to be fully vaccinated as well." Guests will be asked to bring their "physical Covid-19 vaccine card, your New York State Excelsior Pass, your relevant state-provided vaccine pass, or a photo of your vaccination card to share upon arrival," according to the hospitality group's website.

To the owner: FU
In-n-Out now THATS a good burger..also Burger Lounge is good too(Local eatery) I had Shake Shack once, total garbage, never bought it again
Should I sneeze on him to prove I am vaxxed?
Okay.
I say good.. It will be all the more hilarious when there’s mass outbreaks at these “vax only” establishments.
Sep 7th.
trying to have it both ways.
Article is pretty misleading, this guy helped found Shake Shack, but his restaurant group he his speaking of here is his Union Square Hospitality Group restaurant in NY and DC.
No Shake Shacks here: https://www.ushgnyc.com/restaurants/
Another article says: “ Meyer, whose company has a number of well-known restaurants in New York City and Washington, said the policy would not extend to Shake Shack and that the franchise would implement its own policy.
So this headline is and premise are totally off base. I don’t believe Shake Shack will implement this policy.
Can you imagine some poor pimply-faced manger telling some hungry, pissed off NY'er that he can't be served because his vaccine card it up to date?
So he needs ID to eat at Shake Shack but not to vote?
Ca n they do a complete medical screening and deny if you have Sicle Cell Anemia
, or Downs, or HIV
I’m about to have a bout of Tourettes (sp) with these assclowns. 😱🙌
“ Meyer, whose company has a number of well-known restaurants in New York City and Washington, said the policy would not extend to Shake Shack and that the franchise would implement its own policy.“
Whether I’m vaccinated or not, I’m not patronizing any business that requires documentation to prove my vaccine status. It’s none of Shake Shack’s damn business.
How about asking people for proof that they’re in this country legally? Yeah, I can just hear the howls of indignation over that.
So...the owner of Shake Shack publicly states that the experimental treatments don’t work. If he believed they work, why would he care who had shots and who didn’t?
Is requiring proof of your medical history legal?
Possible 4th amendment privacy violation?
My mind would like to know!
“ Dear Shake Shack owner,
I am vaccinated.
But I will not patronize your store as long as it has this policy.”
**************************************************************
DITTO! And the same applies to any other business that adopts such a policy.
If you are positing a theory of disparate impact, then perhaps, yes. A civil rights violation.
I do not care anything about eating there.
