Paul tells the inconvenient truth about Simone Biles and her non-performance at the Tokyo Olympics.
Well since the leaning conservative channel seems to be down I have to settle for what I can get. Let me know when it’s back up, will you?
I watched Biles do some 'never attempted before' vaults in practice and was really looking forward to seeing her nail them in competition.
She has a gift and it would be tragic for her to suddenly lose it.
Yes it would, thank you.
If you are scared of any sport, don't go into it.
I’m not going to watch the video. Really doesn’t matter. She has done things nobody else has. The sad reality is that her best days are behind her. Too old at 24!
Good point: man in the arena quote.
What does deserve some critique is our media/social media/commercialization/objectification culture surrounding and often distracting and stressing all our star athletes.
...the responses from the FR crowd that jumped to her defense and clucked at everyone that said anything even remotely negative for lil Miss Simone are going to be priceless!
Actually that will be going both ways. That is what I like about this forum.
In gymnastics it’s apparently called the twisties:

i’m sorry, but she bumped another athlete from competing by taking their slot. her arguably hurt her team, cost them the gold, and hurt the usa. not to mention the years of sacrifice and vast expenses her parent spent to prepare her for this moment. she choked, and will forever be remembered as a quitter. i have limited sympathy. it’s not like she didn’t know what she was getting into - she spent her whole life preparing for this
She’s a quitter. Good-bye!
I find it hard to believe that she suddenly became more injury-prone or risk-averse in just the last few weeks since the U.S. Olympic trials. I’m of the mine that she quit because she realized she was past her prime and wasn’t going to do well at all.
So she gets to participate in all the free dinners, get other freebies including gift bags and swag, free housing and all social events without having to represent our country?
Ppfffttt... what a loser. She should be sent back home without any fanfare whatsoever.
See others start to do this.
Also, opting to stay and “support the team” is a terrible idea that will do nothing but be more of a distraction for the rest of the team that has the courage to finish what they started.
Weakness = Strength and Failure = courage.
What the young girl has in physical skill is directly proportionate in the obverse to her weak character, focus and drive.
The young girl will forever be haunted by this life course altering QUIT
Not watching the video is your choice. He actually spends the majority of the time criticising the progressives who embrace and celebrate failure.
Bizzarro world
I suspect its a new form of blm protest.
Interesting the mens basketball team lost the 1st game also.
We’ll see how they turn out.
“She’s a quitter. Good-bye!”
That’s just it ....she’s gonna stay in Tokyo and “support the team”.
Terrible idea
Simone now has her No Mas moment and the Media has a distraction to offset the anti USA antics of some other athletes.
Get well Simone and announce your retirement from the sport.
You are amongst the greatest to ever have competed and don’t need this to heal MSM “‘analysis “ fest
For those who have competed at any level you know once the head goes it doesn’t matter how well the body is prepared.
And of course the chattering class were flawless when the camera was on them at work when they were 16-24yrs of age. It more likely the only camera on them was a Polaroid instamatic, and by 24 I doubt most commenters had achieved global recognition as being at the top of their field.
But typing from behind their keyboard, in relative obscurity, they've got it allllll figured out, right?
Yea, she chose this profession and she may have regret later in life over this saga. She's not curing cancer nor going into battle. But she's not self-important like many sports stars or entertainers. Further, she's a zillion times better as a role model for America's youth than the trash pop stars, degenerate politicians, and anyone on MSNBC. And I suspect something else is at play that we are not being told (e.g., maybe she got a booster vaxx and that screwed her up).
I'd rather my daughter examine the achievement of Ms Biles than watch a video of some critic...a video which, by the way, has so many visible stops and starts and punch-ins that suggests the guy has trouble doing 6 straight minutes of flawless content. Recommendation dude: it's called practice.
