The debate over masks is heating up again, with increasing calls for all Americans, regardless of coronavirus vaccination status, to return to wearing face coverings in indoor public places to help thwart the spread of the highly contagious delta variant. But some experts say the recommendations should specify the kind of masks people should be using.

Subscribe today. “Delta is so contagious that when we talk about masks, I don’t think we should just talk about masks,” Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, said during a recent appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “I think we should be talking about high-quality masks,” such as N95 respirators.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Monica Gandhi, a professor of medicine and an infectious-disease expert at the University of California at San Francisco, expressed a similar sentiment: “We can’t say we’re going back to masks without discussing type of mask.”

In general, masks, even well-made N95 masks, are ineffective against viruses.
This is a fact. It was well understood, known, and published prior to the pandemic.
The same is true for the “6 feet” social distancing rule.
I know more folks here on FR understand this because we have discussed it and we do not subscribe to the monolithic opinion of the left.
However, I wish more Americans understood that these two measures were undertaken by the government because they had to “do something.” It was a “white lie” from the “experts” to make us all feel like we were doing “something” effective. It has now become a religion to many who are paralyzed by fear.
We have Americans who are driving around in a car by themselves wearing a mask that will not protect them.

I would not bet on an end to lockdowns in the Northern Hemisphere. Just look at how Australia is once again, in SEVERE lockdown! It is 'winter' (of a sort) in Australia. Not to worry, though. The two 'Justins', True-dope and Kenney, will most certainly re-introduce lockdowns to Kanadahar and Alberta when flu season begins in the Fall.

Clothe, definitely a problem, paper more so. The best solution is a 10 mil thick plastic bag (clear or black/brown) that encompasses the entire head and secured at one’s neck with duct tape.

This morning I listened to Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of mRNA platform/technology. He is not “anti-vaxxer.” The video clip can be found on the War Room Pandemic Show video clips page at America’s Real Voice...Currently it’s the second clip—about 3 minutes in.
He stated:
The vaccines provide cellular protection...Not antibody.
“The vaccines are tested to provide protection against disease and death as their major endpoints and reduction of severity of disease.
They were not tested and characterized for their ability to reduce infection, replication, or transmissibility.
They are relatively poor at protecting transmission from me to you—probably in range of 50%.”
He said it is telling that Pfizer is talking about booster at 6 months—tho they want to make money, it is probably because they know the immunity does not last.
I’m posting this because many (even in my own family) are misinformed as to what the PFE and MRNA jabs do and don’t do. In my family, the vaccinated pose the most risk because they think they are immune and don’t need to exercise any care.
I have or had one of those things and it’s very hard to breath through them.
I’m waiting for the Babylon Bee to do an article saying “instead of a lockdown, the gubermint is calling for MOPP Level 4 for the entire population. ‘Let’s nip this in the bud declares Fauci.’”

When people wear a N95 they leave their noses out so they can breathe.
The only safe way to wear a mask is to soak it in Jack Danials first to kill the germs.
If N95 are mandated, the government needs to pay.
That has multiple meanings.
