Changing metrics to pounds is not as easy as it looks.
I thought everyone knew it was 1 meter = 2 lb.
So simple, or is it 2 meters = 1 lb.?
Next time get an Ordnance Disposal Tech from the Army. A pile of fireworks will contain the gunpowder burn and give you a much larger explosion than you might expect. In Vietnam I saw “mere” concussion grenades (”only” 1/4lb C4) throw wood splinters (very dangerous) a hundred yards. It can definitely ruin your day. It’s nothing like in the movies.
Forgot 1 kilo = 2.2 lbs
Idiots
not as much fun as when things go boom /semi sarcasm
The LAPD is in final negotiations on a contract to transport nuclear weapons between bases in Southern California.
...but only the weapons needing final disposal.
Yah, It’s SARC
Aprox 2.2046 lb per kg. Now try doing a metric tonnes to long tons calc in your head for a 20.1257 MT to LT. Had to do it a lot.
(Not misspelled.)
Told a euroweeny today they prefer cm because it is the only way they can compete with American dick size. Took him a second for it to sink and when it did he was not as amused by the statement as i was.
They loaded the explosive material into a total containment vessel...

Total fail vessel
Idiots.

Is LA one of the cities with de-funded Police Departments? If not, maybe it should be considered.....
Wouldn’t be safer to do that from space? Just to be sure....
The officers estimated they were putting in 16.5 pounds of explosives into the vessel, which is designed to take a maximum capacity for a one-time detonation of 25 pounds, LAPD Chief Michel Moore said in a news conference Monday.
But investigators later weighed the remains calculated that just over 42 pounds of net explosive weight was in the vessel...

So is it New Math, or the Metric System.
This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep’s bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.
Not as much fun, though.
Yep... “leaking” means it has sweated into Nitro glycerine. No matter the weight, the intensity has changed too.
Handling sweaty dynamite is a lost and forgotten skill now days.
“ “Handling sweaty dynamite is a lost and forgotten skill now days.”
It wasn’t dynamite. It was Chinese made fireworks, mostly black powder stuff. Still twitchy if mishandled. And it apparently was.
L
Yes it was... And it is made of the same stuff, and sweats Nitro just the same when it gets old or hot.
Grew up in an old school mining community where you could just go to the hardware store and by dynamite. And plenty of idiots around me made their own fireworks. I understand it pretty well.
If cops could do math, they wouldn’t be cops.
Probably.
I would have opted to soak them in water barrels.
Yeah, but that makes for crappy recruiting videos.
It was 4th of July week. I think the A team was on vacation, and, well, you see what they got with the B team.
