I watch the quakes off the Oregon Coast. Sometimes they get a little more active than usual, which makes it interesting..

Caught my eye, too.
Living ‘next’ (10 miles or so) to an active volcano, keeps my ears perked up for magma movement triggered events anywhere.

“... a Yellowstone eruption would be the end of the USA.”

Scientists say Yellowstone is actually not a worry, the’re concern is more with Biden being president.

Long Valley.
Not Mono Lake.
Mammoth Mountain.

Phreatic eruptions have happened quite often at Mono Lake and Mammoth Mountain.

BTW, the Long Valley Caldera risk is VERY HIGH while Yellowstone is HIGH.

Nearly every single volcano in the Cascades are at a very high risk level. Alaska has several at very high risk levels also.

BTW, the Long Valley volcano was the abt third largest KNOWN super volcanic eruption on this continent.

There is one on the Utah Nevada border that was most likely bigger, but that one is extinct. Dont remember the name. They are still studying that one.

I hear different theories about Yellowstone....some say that it will be destructive but not country or world ending...and maybe not even that.

I’ve had the Icelandic shark. I felt the end of the world was near.

...Yellowstone eruption would be the end of USA.

I'm surprised the Junta has not accelerated. I figured the Filibuster would end first. Then they'd pack the Courts with stooges that would rubber stamp anything they'd pass. The 'For the evil people act' would Nationalize elections so we could never vote them out. From there the Communist Revolution would go into hyperdrive.

It would be a nearly a global extinction event.

It is what happens after the eruption. 10 to 20 years of global weather disaster.

If taken into context. Mount St Hellens-a VEI 5 is @ 10 feet. A VEI 6 is 100 feet. A VEI 7 is 1000 feet. A VEI 8 would be 10,000 feet.

BUT, a small VEI 6 can cause jut as much damage if the duration is long. Like LAKI was in Iceland some time ago. Small VEI index, but the duration was months long and the gases it let out killed hundreds of thousands if not millions of people.

My grandma was shooting for 100, but only made it to just shy of 95.

But she believed profoundly in God, and I’m certain that death was just a matter of walking through a door into a new ‘world’, for her.

I probably won’t live that long - (after all, I’ve taken the dreaded ‘vaccine’, and according to some thinkers on this forum, I should statistically die of heart failure soon) -

but I also believe in the promise of that Door.

So….. something caught your trained eye? Where did you get your training?

You would think with trained eyes from experts that we would be warned about it.

An eruption could possibly kill billions from the aftereffects of low sunlight and low crop yields.

I read that Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima, a Japanese island that was in the news about 76 years ago is also at somewhat of a risk—and could set off a nasty tidal wave if it blows.

I watched a “scarey” 1 hour documentary on the Yellowstone super volcano by one of the history or science channels once. In the last couple minutes of the show they said scientists felt the super volcano was actually shifting more towards calmness. Pretty much wasted an hour of my life.

I would boycott the advertisers for that program except I don’t remember them.
