Pennsylvania on Friday reported 415 new COVID-19 infections, adding to a recent upward trend.
As of Thursday, the state’s 7-day daily average of new cases stood at 273, up from 161 on July 4, according to tracking by Johns Hopkins.
The daily average is still below Pennsylvania’s peak of nearly 10,600 in December. But it’s a cause for concern as new cases trend upward in much of the country, with the rise driven by the delta variant, which is more contagious.
Pennsylvania also reported 4 new deaths on Friday, raising its total to 27,786.
As of early Friday, 247 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Pennsylvania, with 50 in intensive care. Pennsylvania hospitalizations have yet to show any upward trend, although that is happening in some states, especially states with lower vaccination rates.
In Pennsylvania, 62% of residents 18 or older are fully vaccinated, the state said in its daily update Friday.

Who cares, 99.5% survival rate. COVID should not even be a news story anymore.
Still low numbers. Hopefully between the vaccines and the already recovered, there’s a lot of herd immunity. Also of note, the vaccine numbers among the elderly, (i.e. those most likely to croak) are much higher than in the gen pop.
At some point in the near future the government will warn us of elephant infestations and get everyone afraid pf the pachyderm stage of this pandemic.
Because, apparently, people will believe anything.
In spite of leftist/dhimmicrat/socialist/statist/ communist attempts to ompletely destroy it, the economy is starting to recover. They can’t have that, so back to the CCP-Coronavirus CONdemic game. That’s the only SURE way (they think) to destroy the economy.

Cases are irrelevant. Define case. The death count is all I’ve cared about since I discovered worldometer back in April of 2020. And even then it’s important to know (yes, KNOW) that those numbers are exaggerated.
Hospitalizations and ICU numbers matter MUCH more than “cases” which, we all should know, are easily manipulated through generating false-positive “tests”.
“Cases” do not strain the health care system.
I am so scared. We need Levine to come back home to protect us.

Just printing meaningless numbers ... there is no concept of statistical significance ... 100 vs 1000 vs 10000 now that would be meaningful
If the cases involve primarily younger people, it really is no big deal. Hospitalizations and deaths are the most important metrics. We are not going to eradicate COVID-19. We must learn to live with it.
WITHOUT masks, anti-social "distancing", and lockdowns.

Stop testing people without symptoms and the alleged “cases up” will crater....the test is rigged to give positive results.

shouldn’t be surprising since biden put the brakes on trump’s operation warp speed by opening the border, inviting, welcoming, and spreading thousands of disease carrying invaders across our country during a global pandemic...
