The efficacy of a drug being promoted by rightwing figures worldwide for treating Covid-19 is in serious doubt after a major study suggesting the treatment is effective against the virus was withdrawn due to “ethical concerns”…
He found the introduction section of the paper appeared to have been almost entirely plagiarised.
It appeared that the authors had run entire paragraphs from press releases and websites about ivermectin and Covid-19 through a thesaurus to change key words. “Humorously, this led to them changing ‘severe acute respiratory syndrome’ to ‘extreme intense respiratory syndrome’ on one occasion,” Lawrence said….
“Because the Elgazzar study is so large, and so massively positive – showing a 90% reduction in mortality – it hugely skews the evidence in favour of ivermectin,” Meyerowitz-Katz said.
“If you remove this one study from the scientific literature, suddenly there are very few positive randomised control trials of ivermectin for Covid-19. Indeed, if you get rid of just this research, most meta-analyses that have found positive results would have their conclusions entirely reversed.”

Well, it seems like, according to that actual study, it’s a workable solution, but the authors really screwed the pooch with their introduction.
Thanks, screwballs. You just gave the Deep State and Big Pharma an excuse to keep restricting Ivermectin.
Coronavirus PING!
No. Regeneron is monoclonal antibodies that are synthetically made thst specifically target Covid. They are in the dame class as bamlanivimab, estivimab, carvirimab and one other I cannot remember the name. These are the like the new anti cancer meds that specifically target very precisely various pathogens.
I saw Ivermectin on the shelves at Tractor Supply Center.
Kory et al cites Elgazzar in this peer reviewed paper. However removing Elgazzar does little to dilute the findings that Ivermectin is very effective in reducing impact of COVID at just about every stage.
The formal conclusions
Conclusions:
Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.
Interesting.
My doc has been having me “drained” for a few months now, only saying it is helping people.
We talked at the blood clinic about the treatment, but not what it was called.
If I can ask one more question. I had a confirmed vid case in November. As of June 15th, I still have strong antibodies. Is there an estimate of how long that will last? (My doc said 4 months is normal).
Cute daughter ya gots dere, it would be a pity if anything unfortunate should happen to her, we'd all feel bad for youse guys...
Q knew you’d say that……..
Q Verse # 3461-C5……….
I disagree with your doc. It appears that it is likely life long immunity in the T cells. If it were waning immunity in four months we would be seeing a boatload of reinfections. We are not.
Oops.
Well there’s always 86,000,000 mgs. of vitamin D3 every day until you turn into cheese…….
That is my thought also.
I was exposed (as in very close exposure) in March, and had no symptoms other than having to spend a days working from home.
Doc is a very cautious person, and is worried I will start believing I am superman and rolling in covid patients (volunteering at church). Which I have given her every reason to suspect.
Kind of sad about ivermectin. Used to give it to horses. Ate a bit of the paste as a kid since Dad said it tasted like apple.
It did not. Dad was not amused
“ You never did respond to my posting about the study that Ivermectin improves survival by 200% for those... what was it, already hospitalized, or already in the ICU?”
—————————————————————————-
200%??
That’s nothin’.
The other I read on the blog www.VaccinesAreKillersAndQIsReal.com
That Ivermectin is 513% effective!!!!
GFY. This was a peer-reviewed clinical study from weeks ago.
India?
So if you respect peer review then you should respect the outcome of peer reviews……….like in the case of this Thread’s article.
Hence why is was withdrawn…….it failed the peer review process.
Or are you gonna do as many seem to do around here lately, except the information you like, condemn or ignore the information you don’t like?
#DoubleStandards
No, I don’t respect peer review.
It has become corrupted long before the coof.
On both ends: crap being promoted and inconvenient work suppressed.
For example, the superstar Harvard cardiologist who got nailed when someone finally noticed, that according to a table in one of his papers, one of his patients became a father at age 7.
Vs. the Ivermectin paper did not make peer review because of concerns with plagiarism in the *Introduction*. Did anyone find systematic errors in the experimental design, or how it was carried out? Was the data shown to be falsified?
Imma jot you down as not wanting a vaccination.
They are very humid prepossessing homo sapiens with full sized aortic pumps... and hey, I really mean it, too.

Ethical concerns????
From the people pushing an experimental mRNA treatment that has historically never been proved to be safe?
In other words, you know the opposition to Ivermectin is a scam, and you’re good with the scam.
“ In other words, you know the opposition to Ivermectin is a scam, and you’re good with the scam.”

Instead of “other words” I’d like to use my own words:
My information that I agree with is that Ivermectin is effective for very early mild cases of Covid-19.
Beyond that, continuing to rely on it as the user becomes sicker with more moderate symptoms can be a risk.
Ivermectin has failed with seriously ill patients.
I would like to see (perhaps one day) a good verified in-depth report regarding Ivermectin.
There is plenty of Data at this point with real patient use information.
So far, most information collected have been dubious or on a case by case occurrence.
I’m going to assume a top Medical School will be up to the task this Fall.
Let’s hope so.
