I have been working from home since Feb 2020 in Wa state. In my job role there is no reason for me to be in office since all assembly labor has been transferred out of state. Now they are forcing us to attend in person for a minimum of 3 days a week. The DOH website states that covid is mutating into different variants and the vaccines in some cases less effective. This excerpted directly from DOH Wa, "The detection of these COVID-19 variants in our state reminds us that this pandemic is not over. Now that these variants have been found, it is critical to double down on all the prevention measures to protect Washingtonians against COVID-19. I'm sad and very scared.
Just make sure you have your will and last testament all ready in case you go quick. And make sure you’re right with God. Good luck 👍🏻

As I have learned from a dear FReeper here whenever I have said, “I didn’t have another choice” I was lying to myself. There is always another choice.
Imagine owning a business knowing some percent of your workers were too afraid of their shadow to come out and do a job you’re paying them to do.
Simple answer is quit and go on welfare or find a good paying online job.

Herein, my FRiend, and I do mean that genuinely, is one part of your problem. You don’t trust the government with the vaccine, but you do trust the government in the rest of their CoVid response.
That’s a bit on the crazy almost ironic side of things. You are old enough and wise enough to see through some of the false information you’ve been fed, but somehow you buy into the other part.
If you are someone who is indeed immune deprived, then go get a complete work up and find out what your real health problem is. There may be something you are overlooking.
As for having pneumonia in the summer, you should realize that pneumonia, whether bacterial or viral in origin, has no seasonality to it. It can happen at any time of year.
Also, if I’m being perfectly honest here, hasn’t your company given you bits and pieces of updates and new information fairly regularly throughout the last year as to what and when they were expecting to reopen and have all employees back? I know that everyone I know has had emails from their companies that were frequently updated, almost every week or so. I suspect the same is true for your company. In which case, you had to have realized that at some point you were GOING TO BE REQUIRED to show back up in person. How have you been preparing for this moment in the last year, and especially in the last several months? Did you just hope and pray that you would be exempt? It sorta sounds like that.
I hope I’m not being too harsh. I am concerned about people who believe certain lies the government tells them, and not others. I have a dear friend who hates the media as much as I do, but believes every bit of BS they throw at her in regards to CoVid. She suspended all rational thought once the CoVid news started coming, and all because of fear. They got her, and they got YOU. You are smarter than that. As I mentioned in a previous post, pathogens of every different type have been surrounding you everywhere you are, for your whole life. For some reason, NOW you’ve decided that it is too risky to live your life. Hey, FRiend, news flash...it has ALWAYS been risky to live your life. You weren’t safe going in to the office before CoVid either, but the difference is that you THOUGHT you were!
Again, I stress, I post these thoughts to you in the most loving and kind way. I hope you find courage to face the demons you are really facing, and not making up pretend ones that aren’t there. Good luck, and God bless you, FRiend.

Businesses haven’t yet fully come to grips with the real estate they pay for, going unused. They still have the leases, after all.
