Man. Does he drink the same stuff that Tony Romo grew his strong brittle bird bones with? All McGreggor did was put his weight on his leg.

None of them train for actual hand to hand. There’s a big difference. I’ve seen it all, and nobody taps into gross motor skills fight or flight like good ol trench warfare hand to hand.

Karate, Tae Kwon do, kick boxing, jui-jistu etc, are all just a sport. I actually get very angry when people claim to be teaching others self defense when in reality they’re teaching them how to gain enough confidence to get very messed up in a real situation.

Most entertaining end to a UFC fight I've seen since Anderson Silva broke his tib/fib across Chris Weidman's shin.

Slo-mo video of the (Weidman/Silva) event here. [VERY gruesome]

Best guess is that this is the moment when McGregor fractured his tibia, not across Poirier's shin but on his elbow. It held together another few seconds until he pushed off on his back foot while also twisting it, probably finishing the break with a radial shear fracture.

McRapist is 3-and-4 in his last seven fights in the UFC and hasn't won a fight against anybody worth a crap in four and a half years.

The only reason Dana White keeps him around is that the throngs who hate him will line up to buy tickets to watch him get beat.

I remember Theisman’s injury.
Only I doubt that Lloyd's insured McGregor's leg.

Karate, Tae Kwon do, kick boxing, jui-jistu etc, are all just a sport.

Certainly there is a plague of McDojos on the world, especially in the US, but not all martial arts are the same and not all dojos within a particular martial art are the same. I have a good martial arts background and I can tell you that we trained in some darn good hand-to-hand stuff, making plenty good use of gross motor skill-type movements, that I bet would rival anything you were doing, and I guarantee a fair number of the MMA guys are equally well-versed. And the training at full speed/full contact really, really matters, so if you weren't doing that, then your training wasn't as superior as you think.

Bulwyf: "Groin isn't even high on the list."

The only reason I mentioned groin kicks and punches is because those blows are illegal in UFC - thus, no training to defend or counter.

Bulwyf: "One or two hits to get a killing blow..."

I am back to my original question.

Please describe, illustrate, or provide a video of those “one or two hits” that a top UFC professional cannot defend or counter.

Thanks.

Can’t remember who, but the hyperextended knee in the bowl game was nearly as excruciating to watch. OUCH!!
