It does seem that a second shot doesn’t do any good for someone who has been previously infected.

My wife works at a nursing home and a few co-workers have had it and she takes break with them and they take off their masks for break

the above is the reason we are offered flu shots each year but pneumonia shots only every 10 years. One changes slighty, one not so much.
People who do have ‘immunity’ to covid are those that caught SARS - according to the CDC, only 8 people in the US were confirmed as having caught SARS out of 200 some suspected cases. The claim that we ‘all’ have immunity is completely bogus. Were it true, nobody would have died pre-vaccine, either.
