2 Of Idaho's Top Employers Say Their Staff Must Get The COVID-19 Vaccine

Two of the state’s largest health systems — and employers — are requiring all staff to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke’s health systems both announced Thursday that all of their Idaho employees will need to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The move also applies to contractors they work with.

St. Al’s locations in Oregon are exempt because of that state’s law banning mandatory vaccines for healthcare workers.

Both health systems, which include hospitals, clinics and other medical facilities, will waive the requirement for health or religious reasons. Employees must apply for, and receive, an exemption.

The two organizations already require staff to get an annual flu vaccine.

Officials for both St. Al’s and St. Luke’s stressed the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine and its role in helping curb the spread of the disease.

The deadline for St. Luke’s employees to get their first vaccine is Sept. 1. Workers at St. Al’s must be vaccinated by Sept. 21, or they’ll be fired.

Image what would happen if a company demanded all gays needed to get AIDS testing on condition of employment? We know what would happen.

NOT FUNNY they don’t mention CoVID survivors with natural immunity. Are they required to get the shot, even though they have natural immunity? Why isn’t it listed with the religious and medical exemptions?

I have no problem for “PRIVATE” employers to mandate anything. If they make bad decisions, capitalism will ensure their bankruptcy.

But I am 100% opposed to health mandates from government.
Government can NEVER go Bankrupt. Big difference.

Ummm... ok... so how will that work???

Obviously, you would have to have a doctor’s note for the health condition, but how does the employer avoid religious discrimination lawsuits on this?

On what basis would a religion prevent you from taking a generic vaccine???

Sounds to me like they are just saying this will be an exemption, but have no intention of actually applying it.

Someone needs to apply for a religious exemption, and see what happens.. I would like to know.

If it turns out there are significant side effects, what will be the employer’s liability. I’ll bet the corporate attorney advised against this.

I am not so tolerant or forgiving.

There are many demands that employers should never be allowed to make on anybody.

"Private corporations" are naturally inclined towards totalitarian rules and controls. They are as bad or worse than the Government in that aspect. That can be checked somewhat by a "free market" in labor. But larger corporations accumulate too much power and invariably attempt to exert monopoly control over customer and labor markets. In the short run they often succeed.

Seems i remember reading at least a couple of weeks ago where a judge actually ruled that employers WERE liable if employees took the shot under mandate and had problems with it.

So yeah... employees who are facing mandates by their employers should actively remind their employers that UNLIKE the manufacturers or the government, THEY ARE LIABLE for any complications if they force employees to take it.

So mandating that all homosexual employees must be vaccinated against the AIDS virus (considering the fact that the AIDs vaccine is a true vaccine) is fine by you? I’m not disagreeing with you; I’m merely confirming consistency of your point. Cheers!

By now everyone knows that the vax manufacturers are exempt from lawsuits because their vaxes are under “emergency authorization.”

I’d like to ask a good lawyer if a company that requires its employees to take the vax are exempt. The manufacturers aren’t requiring anyone to take it.

Shades of a report I read within the last week, that Chase Bank called *all* their employees back to the office, no exceptions, and “if you don’t like it, leave”. And supposedly LOTS of their people are doing just that, hollowing out entire departments in the process.

The company I work at said people who are vaccinated can start coming back July 6th and do not need to wear a mask. Those who have not been vaccinated will need to.

The owner of the building the company leases from changed their minds when the democrats using the delta variant excuse and now says all have to wear a mask. I figure because of the coming lawsuits and there will be many. Meanwhile I can go to many stores without any mask!

I still work from home. I will not get the vaccine as too many people are being killed by it or cripple or it is a timebomb and your lives shorten by it.

Note no politician or news reporter or celeb talk show host have been infected or died because this is not a pandemic but a power grab by the socialists. The democrats here in the USA have banned HCQ hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. Why? Have you ever heard of a medicine being banned that helps like these do? Never!

Masks do not block viruses. 1,000 times smaller then the weave of face masks.
