A man whose ingenious pop-up swimming pool kept the homeless cool during the recent heat wave was fatally stabbed in the same spot just one day later, according to Portland police.
Officers identified Tyson L. Morlock as the man who was found stabbed in the inner eastside Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood at Division Street and Southeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard around 3:37 a.m. on Thursday, July 1.
Despite life-saving efforts from paramedics, he died shortly thereafter in a nearby hospital, according to authorities.
Morlock, 27, had been interviewed the previous day, June 30, by a reporter on assignment for the Reuters news agency.
"There's not a lot of places you can go in the community where you can be safe," Morlock said, according to a tweet from the reporter, Sergio Olmos.

“...if you have homeless lounging around or near your business you will soon be out of business...”
Confucius say.
I’m just thinking about the swimming pool. What is the water like after half a dozen homeless people take a dip?
They forget or ignore the ‘content of character’ part of MLK’s famous quote.
It seems that nothing good ever happens on Martin Luther King Drive. I wonder why that is?
That's all I need to read.
Sorry for mauga dog….mauga dog turn round and bite you…
Can anyone decipher his hand gesture?
Both hands the same.
Thumb, index, and middle laid together parallel.
This is why we can’t have nice things
"The overwhelming majority of people died in their homes, but at this state, we are not able to release the exact number of people experiencing homelessness because of missing information and because establishing homelessness takes intensive death investigation and follow-up."
Just wow. "Intensive," huh? /s
In contrast, the same video report opines that Washington County established that out of their 8 deaths from the heat wave, 3 were "of the homeless community."
At least he had one last virtue signal.
Naming a street “MLK” is the acknowledgement it will be a hell hole forever. For the whole road.
Lesson for today - don’t hang around insane people.
Portland will be arresting people for?

Simple - thought crimes against the state!
The only crime the left recognizes is resistance to their ideology.
Hm. Considering the date, age, timing, the finger placement in the man’s photo, and the numbers, this appears to quite possibly be an occult sacrifice.
July 1 - Occult holiday, age: 27, see “27 club”. time: 3:37 is not an “approximate time”, it is a “to the minute” time, 3+3+7=13, occult number. Double fingers in photo: baphomet salute, see any photo of baphomet gesture is used on the upright hand.
Wait - the stabber works for the Capitol Police?!
There was a video a couple of years ago about a guy who built a shack for a poor homeless woman he knew was sleeping in the woods nearby.
All my liberal friends thought it was so adorable and shared the video around, and comments on how wonderful it was... until I asked if they think the neighbors appreciated a shack built on their street, or if they would want one in front of their house, and how would it affect property values. Especially with no bathroom facilities.
“”There’s not a lot of places you can go in the community where you can be safe,”
Apparently, where he was stabbed wasn’t one of them.
...’you knew dern well i was a snake before you took me in’...
Makes me wonder if the Peace Corps may have had ironic blowback in the form of exposing liberals to actual reality and burning away their false idealism (which always leads to socialism).
Someone should interview Peace Corps former members to see how the experience impacted their ideas. I’ll bet the results of an objective study would be illuminating and somewhat “unexpected.”
Along these lines, I could imagine an Urban Corps where white liberals get exposed to the consequences of their policies.
Someday soon they'll BURN IN HELL!
