Hope he had an attorney present… You're making an assumption the attorney would be looking out for his best interests. I have little faith with politicians, judges, and lawyers these days.

Standard interrogation tactic: tell your friends and allies that you have betrayed them, by squealing to the Feds. At the very least, this is supposed to destroy any trust they may have had in their leader. With the Mob and Democrats, this would be a death sentence. I do not buy this story. I will need a much better source than the NYT, which is painfully notorious for their fake news fraud.
