Yep, lots of variation. Genetics is fascinating, as long as people remember it is no more ‘destiny’ than a zodiac sign.
It seems to be when dad is six four or so and mom is really tall that the kids hit really tall. There are tall people with short moms, but when mom is also tall it seems the chances of someone being 6-8 or so are much higher.
Rugby is pretty comprehensible for anyone who knows American football; far from the same but a pretty close relation in my experience. Hockey seems pretty straightforward when I’ve watched a game or two.
He is still on FOAL stage of teenagehood. Coordination has not caught up with his height/size. He is only 15 afterall.

I use my wrangler or fj cruiser
My kids love it ....my wife won't go....some paths I prefer a side by side four wheeler
The Sierras are good too....great jeep trails near Whitney and long pine
