Yeah, I bet they were all just “stray bullets” and he was just some innocent “bystander”. Strange, how I’ve survived all these years and not ended up the same way!

Kennesaw seems to be in the news a bit lately, and not in a good way.

Crabs in the barrel don’t just drag down those trying to escape anymore.
They shoot them 50 times.

Sounds like the perp is in the Ku Klux Klan, or maybe one of Biden's dangerous "White Supremacists".

My thought as well. The “friend” was the bullet magnet and the QB just got in the way.

Possibly envious acquaintances who were jealous of his success and not showing enough "respect" to his "boys."

The 6-foot, 170-pound KSU backup quarterback [...]Pardon my ignorance - I know next to nothing about American football - but isn't 170 lbs a little light for a quarterback?
I thought that these guys were all beefier!

He must have been in the shotgun formation. What? No "roughing the passer" penalty?

This is the fourth or fifth incident of this type in the past year. Bears watching. Syndicate for controlling up and coming young players? Protection racket? Sports Betting criminal organisation? Something smells.

Drugs....alcohol...gangs...girls...money...although sports are now dead in this country. Sports are now one of the opiates of the people, and your comment about gang controlled sports personalities being controlled might be on the right track. There certainly is history behind it.

The Feds did not fire a shot that day on that Louisiana road. That was a man Texas Prisons team, Frank Hamer and Maney Gault, A deputy sheriff from Dallas and a local county sheriff's team.
As for shots fired, several hundred, maybe even a thousand.
However with Bonnie and Clyde’s record, I would say Not a shot was wasted

Kennesaw State University is a Division1 school whose football team is an associate member of the Big South Division.
They play against such football luminaries as Gardner-Webb, Wofford College, Jacksonville State, Hampton State, North Carolina A&T and Robert Morris.
In other words...Kennesaw State is NOT a football powerhouse so a 170# second year QB is about right.
Meanwhile at the better Division 1 schools the QB is about 6’2” and 207 pounds. But that’s at schools like Boston University, UCLA, Duke University, University of Georgia, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Penn State University, UC Berkeley, the University of Virginia, and the University of Missouri. And of course Alabama, Clemson, Auburn, most colleges in Texas and name your favorite Div 1 school here_________.
