WALTHAM, Massachusetts, June 30, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A medical journal discovered that 82% of women who took an mRNA vaccine in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy had a miscarriage — and then it then buried the data.
In mid-June the New England Journal of Medicine published a study called “Preliminary FIndings of mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine Safety in Pregnant Persons” by Tom T. Shimabukuro and others from the Center of Disease Control’s “v-safe COVID-10 Pregnancy Registry Team.” The team wrote that there were “no obvious safety signals among pregnant [women] who received Covid-19 vaccines” even though it published a table which showed that 82% of women in the study who were injected with either the Pfizer or the Moderna vaccine during early pregnancy lost their babies. More prominent in their study was a claim that only 13.9% of all “completed pregnancies” had ended in miscarriage — but this figure included the women who were not vaccinated until they were in the second half of their pregnancies.

If they've made it to the third trimester they're much more likely to have a successful birth, vaccinated or not.

Good question. Some (Richard Fleming is an example) are projecting that prions (misfolded proteins) may cause Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease within as little as 2-4 years. Admittedly, this is not usually observed in children. The catch is that the Spike protein can cross the blood-brain barrier (meninges). Will there be future generations?

I can't find any source getting close to that number = 20% seems to be the upper bound.
I expect the statistics I'm quoting are only counting cases where the pregnancy was known, and there's no way 2/3 of those abort.

Your BS detector is working well. Anyone can play with numbers to make a scary headline. Here's info from the actual study:
- "From December 14, 2020, to February 28, 2021, we used data from the "v-safe after vaccination health checker" surveillance system, the v-safe pregnancy registry, and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) to characterize the initial safety of mRNA Covid-19 vaccines in pregnant persons".
- "Among 3,958 participants enrolled in the v-safe pregnancy registry, 827 had a completed pregnancy, of which 115 (13.9%) resulted in a pregnancy loss and 712 (86.1%) resulted in a live birth (mostly among participants with vaccination in the third trimester)."
Now it doesn't take a genius to figure out 3 things from this data.
- First, these women had only been enrolled in this study 1-3.5 months when this was written. To have given birth already, the participant would have had to be AT LEAST late in her 2nd trimester when vaccinated. Note that this data was collected MARCH 30. Those who already delivered were almost all in their 3rd trimester when vaccinated.
- Second, 104 miscarriages out of 3,959 pregnancies isn't 82%. Applying normal miscarriage rates, about 10%-15%, to the 1132 vaccinated during the first trimester and 92 vaccinated before conception, we should expect 122-184 miscarriages.
- Third, the vast majority of these women, over 3,000 were STILL pregnant when this study was written. The 827 "completed pregnancies" are a fraction of the participants. In December, the study will be completed, and the data will paint a more accurate picture that won't fit the scaremonger's agenda.

Sorry to rain on the anti-vax parade. Given the small sample size (104 pregnancies), this is well within the margin of error. In other words, this is the normal, expected amount. The background rate. No difference observed with the vaccine.
What does the ACOG have to say about the vaccine data with pregnancy?

See post 51. It's 3,959 pregnancies, and just 104 miscarriages. So far, it's below the norm (possibly because most of the expected mothers are healthcare workers). As always, it's an author with an agenda twisting facts like a pretzel.
