Indulging in chocolate is one surefire way to satisfy a sweet tooth. And according to a new study published in The FASEB Journal, your health can actually benefit from this treat.
To gather their findings, the team studied 19 postmenopausal women who ate 100 grams of chocolate within one hour of waking up in the morning. Next, their volunteers dined on the same amount of the sweet one hour before going to sleep. After examining weight gain and similar measures in comparison to people who didn't eat chocolate at all, the researchers discovered that those who consumed the treat didn't experience a weight increase. Plus, they noticed that the women's appetite, gut microbiome balance, and sleep quality improved specifically by consuming cocoa in the morning.

Only 19 people!
Yah.
Dark chocolate....85%+ cacao. Too much sugar in milk chocolate.
Any excuse will do nicely!
Now I can say :”All the Doctors agree..”
A low carb breakfast instant microwave muffin/ pudding thing.
Mix in large mug
1 Tbsp cocoa
2 Tbsp almond flour
1 tsp stevia/erythritol
Pinch baking powder
Stir in 1 Tbsp olive oil, then stir in one egg. Thin with 1/8 to 1/4 cup milk.
Microwave 80 to 90 seconds. Less milk or more time makes more of a muffin, more milk or less time, a pudding.
I lose weight on this breakfast.
“Only 19 people!” Yes. A statistically representative sample if you have an agenda to push. That said, I love Dark Chocolate. Nothing exceeding 85% though. Beyond that, it’s far too bitter for me. A good compromise for me is, something closer to 72%.
If you have chocolate in the house in the morning that means you went to bed the previous night with uneaten chocolate in the house.
Dream on, yahoo
And sex all night will cure insomnia
“If you have chocolate in the house in the morning that means you went to bed the previous night with uneaten chocolate in the house.”
Amen! I can’t believe this study overlooked that very basic point. What kind of savage goes to bed without finishing all the chocolate first. That’s the same person who probably doesn’t like dogs. You can’t trust them.
My point exactly!
So, Woody Allen’s Sleepers was correct about junk food being good for you, after all!
What strange alternative universe do these people live in?
if 100 grams are good for a person, then 100,000 must be way better
It’s like an episode of Fringe where Walter visits the parallel universe. It looks normal, but it’s not.
Of course. It's not rocket surgery.
Look ladies
It’s DIET. AND EXERCISE !
The latter. EXERCISE ! Is MUCH more important
Yes but were they cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs?
That sounds great.
