It is mostly associated with a second COVID-19 infection. And the fungus is quite common in India, so it is likely an opportunistic infection.
The reason for the sharp increase in cases in India is not entirely clear; however, it is likely to have resulted from a combination of factors.
Such factors include widespread use (and misuse) of steroids, even for mild COVID-19;
poorly controlled diabetes, which is unmasked or exacerbated by COVID-19 itself (with scarce capacity for glucose monitoring in overburdened hospital wards);
and, possibly, mucosal damage from the virus.
The important lesson might be that COVID-19 “opens the door” to such opportunistic infections. Is it limited to fungal infections? And what other infections might also take advantage of it?

Terrorists are reportedly attempting to enter the U.S. through the southern border as they blend in with migrants.
In an article for Foreign Policy magazine last week, Panama’s foreign minister said Kamala Harris is ignoring a key aspect of the migrant crisis in her role as border czar. According to the official, terrorists and extremists attempt to pass through her country everyday on their journey to the U.S.
Earlier this week, a group of House Republicans introduced a resolution to censure Joe Biden for his inaction on the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Biden’s border crisis is a humanitarian crisis and it all started when the Biden regime began rolling back President Trump’s firm and effective border policies,” asserted Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).

The questions that should be asked, and answered, are:
1. Who requested the emails from NSA?
2. By what authority were they requested?
3. When was the request made?
NSA collects far more data than will ever be looked at. It is important to understand the Information Pyramid here.
The Information Pyramid has four steps.
1. Data forms the base. Data, in and of itself, has no value. Given context, Data becomes Information, the next step up the pyramid.
2. Information is useful, structured, and organized. Given meaning, Information becomes Knowledge, the third step.
3. Knowledge is contextual, synthesized learning. Given insight, Knowledge becomes Intelligence, the capstone of the Pyramid.
4. Intelligence is integrated and actionable. It is the one priceless commodity to any commander.
This kerfuffle is all about a fishing expedition around the base of the pyramid. If the request was made improperly it amounts to Deprivation of Rights under Color of Law, a SERIOUS federal felony.
Again, the issue here is and should not be about NSA. It is about who made the request to NSA and the predication behind the request.
