Harrison Ford hurt himself rehearsing a fight scene in Indiana Jones 5, sources tell Deadline. The extent of his injury wasn’t immediately known, but it involves his shoulder. Director James Mangold will continue to shoot around him while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated. The filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks. Disney has set the Lucasfilm action thriller for a July 29, 2022 release date.
Production on Indiana Jones 5 got underway earlier this month in Pinewood and other U.K. locations. Ford stars alongside Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Thomas Kretschmann. Logan director James Mangold is taking over directing reins from Steven Spielberg, who still is serving as producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel. John Williams, who has worked on every score in the 40-year-old franchise including its iconic theme, is also returning as composer.

Yet Georgie Floyd has a statue.
Oops, wrong thread. Mea culpa.
If he is in a wheelchair for too long on screen, the Ironside people will sue.
“I threw a basketball at age 60 and practically ripped my arm from its socket. Sore for a month. “
Similar here with a softball, but the problem turned out to be a problematic statin, not age. I switched to a different generic statin and can throw reasonably now but not 100% all-out. Afraid to try that.
I actually admire Ford being able to do the film. I find it inspirational to a degree. I did not like the last film. I have no idea what the plot is but I will still see it.
58 going on 78. I’m on SSA disability and have neuropathy below both knees, so I tend to fall a lot. Before I took my doctor’s advice and dialed it back a little, I was on a first name basis with the resident clinic radiologist. Now I just grab my cane and limp along at half the speed of smell. *chuckle*
The good news is that Ford probably won’t fly an airplane for a while.
“I think this one takes place in the 1960’s.”
It’s Hollywood, I know, but that timeline doesn’t make a lot of sense. Raiders of the Lost Ark is set in the late ‘30s. Ford is now 40 years older, so this new flick should be set in the late ‘70s. “Indiana Jones and the Carter Era Malaise.” “Indiana Jones and the Disco Era Leisure Suit”
This guy’s an accident, looking for a place to happen.
Its great to be active as a senior citizen. But I wonder about a 78 year old in this action adventure role.
I wonder if this wil be the last Indiana Jones movie. How much longer can he be believable in such a role?
Yeah, put him in Iran when the Ayatollah took over and let him fight his way out.
Indiana Bones and the Temple of Rehab.
Sadly, I fear you are spot on.
Yep that was a good movie, and would have been a good place to end things.
Did he damage his widdow earwing?
Go to the Old Folks’ Home, Ford; you’re a washed-up,talentless idiot.
Now that is funny. And I’d pay to see it.
