Question for Seattle Area FReepers
fwdude | June 24, 2021 | fwdude

I'm somewhat familiar with the leftist environment in the Pacific Northwest large cities, but wanted a perspective from the ground.

Some good friends of mine who owned and operated a restaurant near me for the past decade are relocating from Texas to the Seattle area for his job. They are great, conservative, Christian emigrants from Africa (here most of their lives from childhood) who do not subscribe in the least to the racist rhetoric of the left. I think they could weather the political climate themselves, due to some solid founding in biblical values, but my concern is for their two children.

"Liz" said that they could not afford any type of private school on their family income. My question is, are there any good school districts in the Puget Sound area which have not swallowed the woke, sexual deviant pill wholesale? Or is the state basically in charge of all mandates for local schools?

I really fear for their kids.

No matter how you define it, a public school is always a government school. Some may be less indoctrinating than others, but in the Seattle area I can’t imagine any being non Marxist.

Homeschooling is affordable.

Herr Inslee has dictated CRT for all public school districts in WA starting next year.

You will lose 25% of good kids to the maw of leftism.

Happened to a good friend.

Moved from North Dakota. I told him not to.

His daughter had an abortion, then a baby by 18.

His son dropped out and hit the road.

Don’t move here.

Maybe keep the family in Wenatchee and commute to a really cheap apartment. At least, save the kids.

That’s what I though. And that’s probably just the tip of a putrid iceberg.

I did mention homeschooling to her. She just feels inadequate to do so.

My question is, are there any good
school districts in the Puget Sound
area which have not swallowed the
woke, sexual deviant pill wholesale?
Or is the state basically in charge
of all mandates for local schools?\\

I lived in the pnw from 3rd grade through
high school. Kitsap County.
Bremerton is a navy town so
the area was fairly conservative.

1974 , 9th grade, I was kicked out
of English class for asking teacher
what the ‘ telephone game’ had to do with
English.

Even at 14 I could see that game was an
atheist commie attack on the concept of truth.

Unless they intend on sending their kids
to a private school , there is not a snowballs
chance in hell their kids will not be brainwashed
against their conservative values.

Any school west of the cascades you may as well
be in wuhan.

Even east Washington is being

re educated.

Jmho.

Sadly, the answer is ‘no’.

Granted, there are some parents who ARE fighting back. I know a few down in the Lakewood area (south of Tacoma) who are backing people in the upcoming school board election who are against CRT and other whacked-out curricula.

But, the majority don’t care what mush is shoved into their kids minds.

Besides...the economic temp of the area sucks. You friends should really consider someplace else.

If you're on FB, there's a dedicated group of Seattleites doing grass root work to turn the city around and clean-out city hall of the leftist scum, they're a wealth of info about all things Seattle.

They are more than happy also to answer questions.

CRT and “Comprehensive Sex Ed” are state mandated. Homeschool.

There are some excellent churches, however. Welcome to the front lines.

Not in Seattle. They are all woke. Maybe further North. And you definitely don’t want kids in South PS.

This state is worth saving. I moved here from Texas. Seattle populated by Southerners would be Heaven on Earth.

Maybe some more work on this angle. Talk to some homeschooling parents, look into curriculum. Some homeschoolers band together to help teach more advanced subjects.

If they are Christians there may well be churches in the area that help with the Christian education of children.

Once outside of King County, things are somewhat “moderate” with the exception of Thurston County (Olympia).

South of Olympia, pure redneck.

East of the Cascades, pure redneck.

North of Everett, mostly redneck.

Plus teaching kids as young as in kindergarten about sex, and homosexual stuff and how LGBTWASEQRDHT whatever is okay. And that there are 128 genders. And if you’re white, you’re a problem. And other weird stuff.
