Rare neurological disorder documented following COVID-19 vaccination

In two separate articles in the Annals of Neurology, clinicians in India and England report cases of a rare neurological disorder called Guillain-Barre? syndrome after individuals were vaccinated against COVID-19.

Both reports describe an unusual variant of Guillain-Barre? syndrome characterized by prominent facial weakness. Seven cases were reported from a regional medical center in Kerala, India, where approximately 1.2 million people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Four cases were reported from Nottingham, England, in an area in which approximately 700,000 people received the same vaccine. All eleven cases were among people who had received that vaccine 10-22 days earlier.

The frequency of Guillain-Barre? syndrome in these areas was estimated to be up to 10 times greater than expected.

"If the link is causal it could be due to a cross-reactive immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and components of the peripheral immune system," wrote the authors of the report from England.

The authors of both articles stress that clinicians should be vigilant in looking for this rare neurological syndrome following administration of COVID-19 vaccines.

Guillain Barre Syndrome

I opened my eyes. It was bright, must be in the afternoon. I was glad it wasn’t night, the nights were confusing and scary to me. It was the pain that woke me, it was always the pain. It was relentless; moving from terrible to excruciating. The nurses were going in and out as my mom and wife sat talking while playing with my new 5-month-old son Theo. My mouth was so dry it felt like it was cracking. I hadn’t had water in weeks but it felt like an eternity. Time had become a strange concept to me, I was not sure the day or month. I was not even sure how long I had been there, but it seemed like eternity. The pain became more intense so I jarred my head up and down trying to get someone’s attention not that there was anything they could do. I wanted to scream out but I had long lost my ability to speak or been able to do anything else on my own. Tubes ran in and out of my body. My body had lost the ability to keep itself alive. I was paralyzed from head to toe. As if being paralyzed wasn’t enough, the pain was overwhelming, every inch of my body suffered. My skin felt like it was on fire, a 24-hour burn. The weight of my own body felt like it was crushing my bones. I lay naked in the bed, because even the weight of a light sheet was too much to bear. Little did I know the extent of my disease – Guillain Barre Syndrome.

I was not always like this, in fact just weeks before I had everything going for me. We had just come from the PGA tour from Napa, California on a business trip and had to rush back to get go to my friend’s wedding. I had to also get back to meet with my landscapers to plant 30 trees on top of 300,000 cubic feet of dirt to hide my neighbor’s newest project from view; an airplane hangar sized structure.

More of his story at the link.

I urge everyone to check if you’ve ever had the Coronavirus before being vaccinated....
It might just save your life...

“In two separate articles in the Annals of Neurology, clinicians in India and England report cases of a rare neurological disorder called Guillain-Barre?”

That was also a side effect of the 1976 Swine Flu epidemic that never happened.

My son got Guillian-Barre syndrome at the age of seven years old after a bout of chicken pox. That diagnosis changed after a few years to CIDP (Chronic Ideopathic Demyelinating Polyneuropathy). This is an auto immune illness where the immune system attacks the nerves in the body.
He suffered permanent damage to the motor nerves in his body and was left with damage to the lower extremities, hands and feet.

He is now 42 years old. He has been in remission all of his adult life. However he still deals with his physical limitations.

His neurologist has said that under no circumstances should he get the vaccine for covid. It might trigger the immune system to go crazy again.

I haven’t taken the vaccine for my own personal reasons but the threat of GBS or CIDP as a result of this vaccination is the clincher for me.

Believe me these illnesses are terrible. Each case is different for each person. Some recover with no problems, some are left with disabilities and some die. You don’t want this illness. Just my two cents worth….

Check out gbs-cidp.org for more information.

Guillan Barre is a very common side effect of the “rare” side effects seen with many vaccines. Completely expected. Most people don’t know about it.
Since covid vax is not spproved...complete warnings may not be necessary.
You can be sure if current covid vaccines are finally approved...there will be lots of cautions, warnings, and disclaimers. The fact that they push the vaccine as being completely safe is infuriating. Just tell the WHOLE truth and let us make up our own minds. We understand it is a scary unknown situation. Truth is better than verbal manipulation.

I just found the pic by searching, “prominent facial weakness”.

Guillan syndrome didn’t show anything, even with, “prominent facial weakness”

It’s not just covid-vac that causes this. Other vaccines do as well...so what do they have in common?
