On my last grocery store trip, I was distracted by the disturbingly large number of people still wearing masks and bought the wrong iced tea.
Instead of buying my beloved Arizona Green Tea with Honey, I bought their RX Stress Herbal Iced Tea.
I was skeptical to try it, but I didn't have any other iced tea to drink when I got home.
I am glad that I screwed up and got the wrong iced tea. Not only did it taste really good and healthy (although I am sure it is not nearly as healthy as it tastes), it actually did seem to promote tranquility without sleepiness.
Hi Cat.
“Have any of you recently inadvertently messed up only to find that you made a happy discovery in the process and want to pass it on?”
...
One time I bought a bag of “tea.”. I said less brew it up. The grocery guy said, “you smoke it up.”
Damn. Rattled my cage it did.

I went to buy a towel rack, came back with an SUV.
Really had to sell the “deal” aspect when I got home. LOL
Now my Wife wants a new Bedroom Set.
That’ll teach me.
Wife told me to go get a gallon of milk, and of they have eggs get a dozen.
I don’t know why she asked me to when she didn’t know what to do with 12 gallons of milk.
Always have an open mind... lol
I never refuse to take a try at something new. And just for this reason. Many many times I was pleasantly surprised and glad I did have an open mind.
I feel ya...
“I went to the Gun Store to buy some Ammo and walked out with a Bullpup Semi Auto 12 Gauge and an M&P 9mm Shield Plus Smith & Wesson”
So, who did you use them on? ;-)
When I was a child we were camping & fishing. We ran out of flour and ground up some Graham Crackers as our fish batter on Golden Trout. Very Yummy.
When we were fishing in Tuolumne Meadows the trout weren’t interested in our bait. I tried to catch the crickets that were flying all over but they were too fast. I shot them with a rubber band. The trout went CRAZY for them.
I got tired of paying for gear, licenses , and not catching fish. So I went to our local Asian supermarket Ranch99, picked out 4 big trout. They cleaned and scaled the fish. My brother fished for trout all weekend and caught NOTHING but I served fresh trout 2 nights... guaranteed.
Instead of buying a CO2 beverage system at Bevmo for $75, I bought a handheld bicycle CO2 cartridge tire inflator gizmo for $13 that does the same thing, plus it can be used to pump up basketballs & Volleyballs AND I modified it into a potato gun.

Happens to me all the time! We put a soaker hose into one row of our garden backwards this morning, but I had gotten a female-female 6’ hose as a connector by “mistake” the day before, so I put the male-male adapter, that I had gotten to fix the first “mistake”, on the female end of the soaker and capped that, and connected the female-female hose to the male end of the soaker hose. Two mistakes over two days that all worked out just fine when you trust Jesus with everything.
Now I’m wondering about 20 Gauge and .410.
Interresante. Rd comments later.

When your basketballs and volleyballs see the sunshine, expect them to rupture or explode.
Shouldn’t post because I’ll be defeating the discovery. I like Fritos. Just the plain ones but the flavored are okay sometimes.
I tried the knock-offs at Aldi and didn’t like them (too salty) though I do like most everything I get at Aldi.
Then saw some at Walmart. Great Value Brand. Only $0.77 per bag. I like them just as well as the Fritos. They’re usually well hidden on the bottom shelf and often they are cleaned out. Evidently I’m not the first to discover the deal.
Wal-mart great value brand ice cream at $1.97 a half gallon (or whatever they pass off as a half gallon) is better than anything else they have at 3X the price. Try the pralines and cream, it’s fantastic.
I hardly ever buy retail anything and stick to thrift store. I bought a tool belt and there was a nice buck knife tucked away in one of the pockets. I bought a new bag for my computer. There was a $20 in a hidden zipper compartment. And I buy used dogs too. I got one at the pound and somehow a second one came with her.......
Been doin’ it for 5 years. No incidents so far in sunny San Jose.

I needed a way to generate a footpath in our backyard, cheaper than concrete and less permanent.
I went to Home Depot and wandered around. I had used old roofing asphalt shingles. They were... okay. I saw a roofing roll that was called torch-applied roofing, 50 feet ‘ 2.5 feet at about $1/square foot. The path is still there more than a decade later.
