Mike Wallace was a muckraker, in my opinion.
And it’s nothing new. It’s just a 21st century brokerage site for the lowest sort of Hollywood humanity, i.e. Public Relations flacks. The Under-Assistant West Coast Promo Men of song and legend.
Never limited to show business. About 1985 I was involved in a “placed” story in an industrial trade magazine. My boss found the rag, who sent ‘round a “reporter”, and I was delegated to write the article for him.
Politics, same-same.
At racetracks they were called “touts”.
The web site is for Public Relations and press releases.
Muckraking was investigative journalism in to corruption and scandal in the late 1800’s early 1900’s.
Nellie Bly is a famous muckraker.
The website obviously just took the term for its name, but it has nothing to do with muckraking.

Would they conspire? You can bet they would, and have been for years now. “Well, let’s see what anti-trumper narratives are on the wire that I can repeat today in my article too”.
Same with “climate Change”. You can bet they feed off of each other to keep the narrative within controlled parameters.

I think it is. I’ve run across them before.
I can tell you about my experience. I am a journalist, and recently almost lost a lucrative article assignment after a federal agency expressed concerns that I was a “muckraker.” I had no idea what they were talking about. After researching my name on that site (which included several of my articles) I found a way to contact them and have my name and articles removed.
I had no idea what this site was about or that my articles were on it.
That site listed some of my articles without my permission. These articles were about government malfeasance. They had nothing to do with public relations.
Its a somewhat useful place to research a journalist’s professional background.
Important stuff like where/when a journalist attended college who their spouse is, and where they grew up is often missing.
A database that combined all those elements would be truly useful.
