I went to Canadian Tire to buy a knapsack, because the handle of mine had torn completely off and these knapsacks aren't really repairable once they become damaged with a big hole on the side.

For those who may not be aware of what Canadian Tire, it's a hardware department store that sells automobile services as well as automobile supplies, reasonably priced and quality tools, camping and sporting goods and seasonal furniture.

I had my face bandana on, but was not wearing it over my face. I walked through the store and found my knapsack and was walking towards tills when somebody walks up to me in a green hoodie and says, "Excuse me sir, why aren't you wearing your face mask?"

I replied while looking at him and walking towards the tills, "I think I will let a Canadian Tire employee tell me that."

He replied, "I am a Canadian Tire Employee", while he started unzipping his hoodie to show his red shirt in all its glory.

I replied, "I think I will let a Canadian Tire manager tell me that."

That's when he replied, "Whatever."

I was hoping that he would call a manager, to which I would have respected, because I needed the knapsack more than standing on principle.

To me, that's really the way to get the mask mandate ended, just keep driving up the costs of time and effort to enforcing it. At some point, it becomes pointless to enforce it.

A few months ago, some flack had suggested that in England the mask mandates should be made permanent as “people are used to them now”. So, if you decide to be polite and compliant, it is taken as support for the imposition.

So, I try every sign, see if I get push back, and walk out if I am told they are required, in many cases to never go back again. I am in a large city (Phoenix), so I can get away with taht. But any push back, anywhere, is worth doing.

I like what Ben Shapiro said, “Whatever you give to liberals will never be enough. You give them W and they will want X. You give them X and they will want Y.”

It’s time for us to say no and start pushing back, all the way back.

We gave them goodwill and they used that goodwill to destroy kids and familes for almost two years now.

It’s completely stupid. Anybody who is going to get covid will have mostly gotten by now and those who haven’t probably won’t, at least in large numbers.

I was never one to be obedient to the mandate, where I could avoid being obedient to it anyway.

The pastor was easy to find, because he’s at work all day long.

I’m a constantly moving target from the time I get home until I get home.

I would comply, if facing law enforcement because I want to keep my security license, but no cop is going to come out unless somebody has been detained or they see the contravention themselves.

Walked into Walmart when the mask mandated just started. I had it below my nose. The Lady at the door told me to put it over my nose. I just said no thanks and kept walking

At Walmart, because they have security at the door, I will wear it when entering. But I remove it while shopping.

My adventures in San Francisco yesterday: I wore no mask in the grocery store for weekly shopping. Every other soul in that store no exception was masked.

But.

No one said anything to me.

I rather enjoy tormenting the rabid liberal nutcases in our area. Majority of our rural neighbors believe as we do. We have intermittent Sheriff’s patrols, crime is incredibly low, everybody’s well armed and nobody bothers us.
