Frank Bonner, who played Herb Tarlek on the sitcom “WKRP in Cincinnati” has died. He was 79.
Bonner passed away “peacefully” Wednesday amid his battle with Lewy body dementia, his family told TMZ..
As Herb on “WKRP” in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bonner was the quintessential salesman in a gaudy plaid suit and white loafers, despite struggling as a radio station sales manager who consistently failed to reel in the big accounts.
The actor turned to directing in a few episodes of “WKRP,” and later reprised the role in the early ’90s spinoff, “The New WKRP in Cincinnati.”

Bailey all the way!
Many of us were.
Live turkeys ... yes, Les Nesman was the character with the line “I thought turkeys could fly.”
The episode where he crosses over to the dark side and does Disco. Hilarious.
BOOGER!
Aah... A simpler time when “booger” was frowned upon and exactly ZERO people would have listened to a CardiB song about her genitalia...
Bailey for me. Bailey was smokin hot.
Mary Ann or Ginger ?(Gilligan’s Island)
Mary Ann for me
The Big Guy
A two year old broad-breasted bronze turkey tom is so heavy that it has trouble walking.
“As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”
😀🙄😏
I`ve got a monkey on my foot!
Yes, his Rip Tide alter ego!
I lean towards Bailey.
Ditto. I worked with the same types. It was very realistic lol!
Same disease as Robin Williams.
It was a Thanksgiving episode and the frozen meat were Turkeys, except they were alive and being dropped over a parking lot. It really was hysterical.
The last line was from the actor playing the station owner; "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."
My B-I-L lived with Jan Smithers back in the day.
My Ex B-I-L used to date Morgan Fairchild.
As for me, I did see the Doors at the Hollywood Bowl and saw the Cream Farewell Concert at the Fabulous Forum in 1968. LOL
Some of the classic WKRPs were when Herb tried to “seduce” the photographer to get back Jennifer’s nude pictures and when Herb had to talk Les of the ledge because one of the Bengals thought Les was a homosexual. (Herb’s response was hilarious...”A ‘homo’ sexual???”)
So far Bailey in a landslide. Interesting. I’m going with Bailey and Mary Ann.
actually there was four boobs worth watching
