A woman in Pinellas County, Florida, was arrested late Sunday after she allegedly punched her girlfriend in the face for "talking in her sleep about an ex," documents showed.
Officers responded around 10:39 p.m. to a neighbor's report of a fight happening at a residence in the city of Dunedin and encountered the alleged 21-year-old victim, The Smoking Gun reported, citing an arrest affidavit.
According to the police report, the unnamed woman said she was asleep at the apartment she shares with her 23-year-old girlfriend Alexis Talley when the latter woke her up because she allegedly started "talking in her sleep about an ex."
Talley then allegedly started to punch the woman in the face following a verbal argument.
Police said the alleged victim "had visible swelling to the right side of the face (consistent) with her statement," according to the arrest report.
After being read her rights, Talley claimed she and her girlfriend did have an argument due to the woman talking in her sleep about an ex but insisted "it was only verbal and not physical," according to the report. Additionally, Talley explained the injuries the woman sustained were "from a previous disorder and not from tonight."
Talley was arrested for domestic battery and booked into county jail. She was released from custody Monday on $2,500 bond, with a judge prohibiting her from having any contact with the alleged victim.
As Talley was previously arrested for a battery charge that resulted in a no contest plea, she is facing an enhanced felony charge for the alleged attack on her girlfriend, according to The Smoking Gun.
She is also currently facing a felony marijuana possession charge after deputies performed a traffic stop on her last month and allegedly found two bags filled with the drug in the vehicle she was driving.
Court records indicted Talley had previously been convicted of marijuana possession, driving under the influence and disorderly conduct.

Alexis Talley
Chances are she’ll try when she gets out.
Yes that is why I posted the link
Look at the hands on her. Girlfriend is lucky this thug didn’t break her cheekbone or eye socket.
Still, IBT needs a copy editor. Nine unnecessary “alleges” are an annoyance.
Mentally ill homosexuals.
Domestic violence is common among lesbians.
Here is a pleasant song “Talking in Your Sleep” is a song by Detroit rock band the Romantics (reached #3 in 1983):
When you close your eyes and you go to sleep
And it’s down to the sound of a heartbeat
I can hear the things that you’re dreamin’ about
When you open up your heart and the truth comes out
When I hold you in my arms at night
Don’t you know you’re sleepin’ in the spotlight
And all your dreams that you keep inside
You’re telling me the secrets that you just can’t hide
You tell me that you want me
You tell me that you need me
You tell me that you love me
And I know that I’m right
‘Cause I hear it in the night
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you’re talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you’re talking in your sleep
///////////////////////////////////////
And the Crystal Gayle song, totally different by the same title in 1978:
Each time you close your eyes
I’ve heard it said that dreamers never lie
You’ve been talkin’ in your sleep
Sleepin’ in your dreams
With some sweet lover
Holdin’ on so tight
Lovin’ her the way
You used to love me
Talkin’ in your sleep
With lovin’ on your mind
