Israel's parliament the Knesset on Sunday approved a new coalition government, ousting longtime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and making Naftali Bennett the new head of government.
Netanyahu had held the role for 12 years, making him the longest-serving prime minister in Israel's history. The Israeli politician, mired in controversy and charged with corruption, had already failed to form a sustainable government after four elections within just two years.
"This is a holiday for the press but a difficult day for millions of citizens of Israel," Netanyahu, who leads the right-wing Likud party, told reporters, according to The Jerusalem Post. "I ask you not to lose your spirits. We will come back."
Bennett struck a conciliatory tone at the beginning of a speech ahead of the Knesset's confidence vote, thanking Netanyahu for his leadership of Israel.

I expect him to be quite conciliatory towards Palestinian terrorists. Hope I'm wrong.
This will be quite a fragile coalition...given how divergent the views are of the various parties that are caucusing together to form this majority in order to oust the largest party from power.
I wish I could feel sorry for Bibi, but I will never forget or forgive how he was practically first out of the gate among world leaders to “call” the 2020 election and start kissing Biden’s ass.
Why do the peoples in Israel not like/love Netanyahu?
The Lord and Trump may help you Bibi if you let them. (Don’t side with the enemies of the Lord and Trump.)
the only purpose of this coalition was to get Bibi out of power, they hope that will result in allowing the pending case(s) against him to go forward. If convicted he could be barred from returning as PM.
Yeh, I found that to be quite queer.
I always felt Bibi’s support for Trump wasn’t genuine. His support for Biden confirmed it. Bibi supports the interests of Israel and himself, not America, which is fine, but I’m not shedding any tears about his fate.
The different sides of the coalition will pull it apart over actual policies where Bennett won’t be able to hold the partners together, triggering early no-confidence votes Bennett will lose in the next year or two, requiring new elections.
I never understood this FR infatuation with Israel’s version of a useless government hack.
I can forgive him for that.
Israel’s survival is dependent on its alliance with the United States. He has to pretend to be friendly to whoever is president.
Maybe flipping Trump the finger the morning after the election, mere hours after the steal was started, wasn’t the smartest idea there Bibi.

Nope, no forgiveness. This wasn’t Botswana. He has a first class intelligence operation. He knew beyond a doubt of the corruption and the election steal.
Zero doubt. At the moment he might have helped, he plunged his knife into Trump’s back.
The President of Mexico has a far deeper need for a good relationship with America. But Obrador had far more backbone than Bibi. Obrador stayed strong until the bitter end.
Okay, but considering what an extraordinary friend and ally of Israel Trump had been, perhaps the best ever of a U.S. president, did Bibi really have to be first out of the gate? Four days after the election, on Nov 7 when votes were still being counted, Bibi was waxing poetic about his “warm personal relationship of 40 years” with Biden. Hell, even Merkel, who never liked Trump, didn’t congratulate Biden until Nov 9.
Levin talked about this. Guy is a slimy lying lib.
Bibi supports the interests of Israel and himself, not America

Would any country not want this of their leader?
Ohhhh...I forgot Dems detested it in Trump.
Why do the peoples in Israel not like/love Netanyahu?
Probably for the same reason a lot of people, who have a left leaning tendency did not like Trump; who I believe was a great president.
Israel is a nuclear armed state, it’s not a China doll.
