Federal authorities have received over 800 reports of heart inflammation in people who received a COVID-19 vaccine, a health official said Thursday.
The reports of myocarditis or pericarditis were submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, a passive reporting system run jointly by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration, through May 31.
The bulk of the reports described heart inflammation appearing after the second of two doses of either the Pfizer of Moderna vaccines, both of which utilize messenger RNA technology.
Authorities stress that anybody can submit reports through the reporting system but authorities have already verified that 226 of the reports meet the CDC’s working case definition, Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, a deputy director at the agency, said during a presentation of the data. Followup and review are in progress for the rest.
Of the 285 case reports for which the disposition was known at the time of the review, 270 patients had been discharged and 15 were still hospitalized, officials said. Myocarditis typically requires hospital care. No deaths were reported.

The CDC announced that it was investigating reports of heart inflammation in teenagers and young adults who received a COVID-19 vaccine, though it took no definitive action besides saying it would continue reviewing case data.
An advisory committee to the agency, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, said in a little-noticed update published dated May 24 and published on June 1 that data from VAERS showed that in the 30 days following the second dose of mRNA vaccinations, “there was a higher number of observed than expected myocarditis/pericarditis cases in 16–24-year-olds.”

Israel’s Health Ministry said that same day that it found 275 cases of heart inflammation among the more than 5 million people in the country who received a vaccine between December 2020 and May. An Israeli study found “a probable link” between receiving the second dose of the Pfizer jab “and the appearance of myocarditis among men aged 16 to 30,” the ministry said.
Shimabukuro said the U.S. passive surveillance data “are consistent with the surveillance data that emerged from Israel.”
The figures are also consistent with other case reports and data from the Department of Defense.
The vast majority of the U.S. reports deal with male patients. Approximately 300 preliminary reports indicated the patients suffered chest pain, with nearly as many having elevated cardiac enzymes.

This is impossible. I was told that no information that indicates unintended side effects would ever be allowed to be shared. It was all being hidden. Concealed by the evil CDC. Part of their giant conspiracy.
Yet here we are, with rare cases of anaphylaxis with Pfizer and Moderna, rare instances of blood clots with J&J, and now some rare instances of myocarditis with Pfizer and Moderna. But that can’t be, because all negative information about the vaccines is buried where no one will ever find it.

Myocarditis is common after a cold, certain vaccines, and other situations - which includes COVID-19. In fact, a recent study showed that around 2.3% of college kids who had COVID-19 also developed myocarditis (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2780548). In another study, 48% of high school endurance athletes showed signs of myocardial inflammation after the common cold (https://jcmr-online.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1532-429X-11-S1-O3).
Symptoms are typically mild or nonexistent and full and rapid recovery is what normally happens. This is certainly worth investigating, and those at risk should be warned and given a list of symptoms to look out for, but this is certainly no death sentence. It’s a common thing that’s observed in many situations, including after a cold.

probably at least 100 times that many weren’t reported ... my next door neighbor was admitted to the hospital for two nights after his 2nd dose and was diagnosed with pericarditis, most likely due to the vaccine; he was otherwise in good health ... a good client of mine collapsed after his first dose, but already had tested positive for covid antibodies ... he had crushing chest pain and couldn’t breath ... he wanted to go to the ER, but his idiot doc talked him out of it ... i doubt if either were reported to VAERS ... he was otherwise in excellent health as well ...

Their sport didn’t cause their myocardial inflammation; a cold did. The link between certain viral infections (among other things) and myocarditis has been well known and documented for decades. Most are just now hearing about it and some (with an agenda) think this is the silver bullet they’ve been waiting for to kill the nasty vaccines. Well, it isn’t.
As for demonstrating the effectiveness of the vaccines, there are dozens of carefully constructed clinical trials from around the world demonstrating that, to say nothing of the incredible success Israel has already had. All of their neighbors are seeing COVID cases and deaths either rise or remain steady. But Israel has seen them drop to an average of 14 cases and 1 COVID death per day. In a country of over 9 million people. They’ve killed COVID-19. They did it with a vaccine - specifically, Pfizer - which their data shows blocks 94% of asymptomatic COVID-19 infections and 97% of symptomatic infections.
COVID-19 didn’t just suddenly decide it really liked Israel and the people living there. It didn’t suddenly decide to stop infecting just the people who live in Israel. Israel vaccinated most of their population and the virus ran out of vectors to continue its life cycle. And smallpox didn’t just run away after 3,500 years either (coincidentally right at the same time a worldwide mass vaccination campaign was going on).
You may choose to deny reality, but the thing about reality is that it continues to exist regardless of whether you want to believe in it.
I had a feeling you’d mention Israel — your go-to when asked to substantiate the statistical vax impact. Can you show (or reference) the data visualized over time? Or the related bulk data from 2020-12 to 2021-05 in any data format?
Average kids should not be demonstrating the myocarditis symptoms of high-performance endurance athletes. And for you to state that it’s okay without reservation is both reckless and specious.
I’m not one to deny reality — I’m patient, pragmatic, and rely on reproducible behaviors and analytics. And thus far, only the anecdotes speak volumes to vax success with the precondition the related problematic issues are dismissed.
This is true even though doctors and family members are reporting problems trying to file new adverse reports, and the fact that the CDC is withholding most of the records it has received for Covid 'shots' from publication.
Age groups under 25 years appear to be most affected by this side effect of the vaccine, especially after the second shot and now these clowns propose and want to inoculate children as young as five years old and most ignorant parents don’t see anything wrong with it? I just can’t help the feeling that there is something sinister in the making.

Myocarditis most commonly affects children and it’s most often caused (in the US, Canada, and most other western nations) by viral infection. Common cold, Influenza, and others.

I never said it’s okay. I said it’s common and typically nothing to worry about. If we find out that the cases related to COVID-19 vaccines are more serious than normal, that’s a different story. Thus far, of the 285 confirmed cases of myocarditis following vaccination, 270 have already been resolved with full recovery. The remaining 15 are either unknown (not enough information) or in progress.
