"And you can’t uninstall MS Edge."
Unfortunately, you are correct.
BUT, I have been able to cut it off from M$ by stripping all permissions of the folder from anyone and anything.
I wouldn't suggest it though. For the first couple of months, it would give me an error about every 15 minutes, and the only way to close the error was to open the Settings and then close them all.
Thankfully, the errors stopped (I guess M$ gave up).

Adobe products and the newest version of CorelDraw require Windows 10 or they won’t work. They can work but I bet there is a deal with Microsoft to get people upgraded so all can spy on us.
I tried the latest CorelDraw in a Oracle VM VirtualBox window where I have Windows 10 install on my Windows 7 desktop pc.
It looks near identical to my old CorelDraw X3 from 2006.
I saved $499 by not buying the new version and do not have to use Windows 10 as my primary operating system.

Since I still have Windows 7 and turned off automatic updates, I’m perfectly happy not getting these sort of messages.

It reads: "Microsoft recommends different browser settings. Want to change them?"When someone initiates a conversation with me in that way - i.e., with a question about a matter whose consequences I don't fully understand (because I lack, e.g., the specialized technical competence necessary to fully appreciate them), I will usually respond with, "Depends. Please explain in detail the advantages and drawbacks of doing so. Will this take 15 seconds? Or 15 minutes? Will I be able to reverse the changes if I don't like them?"
But, for some reason, Microsoft's little pop-ups never answer my questions!
Regards,

I’m also done with Corel. I tried to install the product I own to Windows in a virtual machine and it refused to authenticate with their server. Called their tech help and they refused to help, telling me I would need to buy a newer version.

That's it, the quotes made it much better. 😉

The integration of various Microsoft functions onto the collective and co operative cloud is a very good happening
You can dis Microsoft all you want but they are the best at what they do and there is no one even close to matching their capabilities

They learned you’d stick with Windows despite their crap.Yup. They learned long ago that what the 'customer' wants doesn't make a dimes worth of difference. Frankly I'm amazed at how many people are still stuck in the Microsoft world.

Thanks for the referrals. As it happens I chose the proprietary Windows program MP3Tag (https://www.mp3tag.de/en/) many (20?) years ago for compatibility with the other members of my band -- they were all Windows guys, as was I. I liked it and stuck with it, later running in a Win7 VM on whatever computer I had at any given time (generally MacOS or Linux; I stopped installing Windows on metal around 2003). Gotta love VMs.
So today as a result of your comments I looked around, and noticed that MP3Tag became available for MacOS this past February, so I'll be checking that out in addition to the Linux programs you guys mentioned.
Thanks!

Any time. One of the things I like about easytag is that it makes it really simple to add album art to all the songs in an album at once, and to make other changes to a group of songs all at once.
