The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are based on "messenger" RNA. The RNA is encapsulated in a lipid layer consisting of propylene glycol (a petrochemical).
This is the biological definition of a virus. (In this case a synthetic virus.)

No. Many vaccines use only a certain identifying feature of the the target virus (called an epitope) - just enough for the immune system to recognize, but without all the rest of the virus (such as its ability to replicate).
These epitopes can be spliced onto common harmless viruses as carriers (like the Russian Sputnik V, the AstraZeneca or the Chinese COVID-19 vaccines).
The mRNA vaccines instruct ribosomes to produce just the desired epitope - fresh perfect copies, not degraded in storage or handling, and free of other viral components, that might have unwanted or unknown effects. Whole virus vaccines (especially whole coronavirus vaccines) can have lots of side effects, triggered by other features of the virus, not needed to develop effective immunity. That is an inherent safety advantage of the mRNA vaccine approach, over the use of whole virus.
The mRNA vaccines are like blueprints or work orders to the ribosomes (the factories within cells). While the mRNA vaccines are circulating (half life ten hours), the ribosomes will produce an epitope of COVID-19 (a snippet off the head of the spike protein, that COVID uses to attach, like a key into a lock).
After the mRNA vaccine itself (rather quickly) degrades away, the ribosomes stop producing the epitope off the spike protein head, but those spike proteins produced circulate until they themselves are degraded a bit more slowly, while the immune system learns to recognize them.
You can also leave the vaccine on a counter top all day and it will not infect. single person. I love what gets passed around here as science

The mother of one of our DIL’s died in a NJ nursing home due to their governor in late March of the pandemic. She was sent from her NH nursing home to a local hospital and sent back to the Nursing Home to die. She was then put on fentanyl, narcotics, Versed and Oxygen at the nursing home.
My wife, an RN for about 50+ years wondered what the hell was going on. I told her, that nursing home had become a hospice. The woman, a mother of a DIL died a few days later without family or friends.
Here in Californicator, one my best friends in our church and social life was in a very expensive senior citizen home/place with critical care beds. He had severe Parkinson’s and was in one of those critical care beds.
They moved in a patient discharged from a local hospital, to about 2 doors away away from our friend. The patient survived and my friend died from you know what.
I’m sure that these 2 cases, we know about are just the tip of the Covid Iceberg in many of our nursing homes.

Agree with you. I’m a healthy 63 year old who is not anti-vaccine. I ride a bicycle 100-150 miles per week and use power meters and a heart rate monitor and record all the data.
As such I know what is normal for me with respect to average heart rate vs. watts/KG body weight and quite knowledgeable on how I normally feel after a (for example) 30 mile ride with 3 or 4 climbs totaling 2500 feet on ascent. I can say without fear of being laughed at by those who know that I’m a decent hobby class athlete.
Since receiving the vaccine four months ago I have basically lost my MoJo. Through much hard work I can now ride at almost pre-vaccine levels but my leg muscles feel like mush and my average heart rate is elevated approx 10 beats per minute.

The anti-vaxxers are the ones spreading nonsense. According to your logic we shouldn’t administer the vaccines until after years of long term testing. How many will die while we spend 10 or 15 years of testing?
