Once a month Google tells me of all the places I've been in the last 30 days. OK, we all know that our smartphones track us and they know what cities and places we go to. And we know there are (probably) ways to disable this tracking. But most of us don't really care. And even if we did, there are many other ways Google, Alexa, our cars, our government, etc. track us and follow our every movement.
This is just everyday life in the 21st century.
So anyway, Google's My Timeline has an in-depth review of nearly every place and every town I've been in in the last 10 years.
But they got one thing wrong. I know I've not been to Laredo Texas since 1986 when I worked for a Laredo based company at that time.
Yet My Timeline says I was at Monarch Tracking, a GPS supplier at 602 E. Carlton Road in Laredo 6 years ago.
Maybe Aliens under orders from our Navy and Air Force secretly transported me there one time for a chip implant.
Who knows?
Two of three tracking GPS stations went down and just the one read your location.
Or....Alien abduction.
What exactly would get routed through a server in Laredo?
I think someone in Laredo logged in to his gmail. Although Google sends a notification if that happens, so that may not be it either.
That makes no sense. So that's probably exactly what happened.
Thanks.
I turned my tracking off, nothing in the timeline.
Wait until your wife’s attorney finds out?!
“Last night somebody broke into my apartment and replaced everything with exact duplicates...
When I pointed it out to my roommate, he said, “Do I know you?”

If you ever want to know where you have been in recent years, just sent a pleasant FOIA request to NSA. Explain that you are a taxpayer suffering from Dementia.
I am sure they will get right on it for you.... :-)
Some companies have servers in different places.
Maybe that led to misidentification...

Thanks.
Google does not “think” anything.
Yep on the song and all else.
‘1984’ is here. There will be no escaping the NWO and the Beast (eventually).
Except Luke 21:34-36.
Google know all!
I spent a week in Laredo one night.
Did you have a company phone that was at that location? Perhaps configured and then sent to you?
...that they'll show you...
Every so often my phone will insist I’m somewhere hundreds of miles away. Gotta be a bug...probably happens every other month or so.
right
Why can’t I see my timeline on Google Maps?
If Google maps timeline is not working, the first thing is to check if Location History is enabled on your phone. Google Maps rely on Google Location History to keep a real-time track of your commute. That’s why your Timeline won’t work if you had mistakenly turned it off in Settings.Jan 21, 2021
In effect, by enabling Location History you’ve allowed google to track you. One of the first things I do when I get a new device is to turn off Location History. I suspect Location History also tracks map inquiries.
