Destini is currently unable to speak to tell them what happened. But based on what they found in the bathroom and after talking to her friends, they believe the seventh grader...was trying to copy a TikTok video in which someone draws a shape using a flammable liquid on a mirror and then lights it on fire.
Destini brought into the bathroom a candle, lighter and bottle of rubbing alcohol, which they believe exploded in the poorly ventilated space, setting her and other items on fire... When they retrieved Destini's phone, TikTok was still recording video...
Destini has been in the intensive care unit ever since, and her family is hoping she will be able to move to the burn unit soon for further care. She will likely need several more months to recover, including inpatient rehabilitation to regain use of her arm and mobility in her neck, shoulders and fingers...
The family has said their church and Destini's school have been supportive since the incident happened. Andrea Crane, a student at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, has also moved back home to help care for her sister...

Take all my students out of school? Sorry, unless you’re going to pay my mortgage, you have NO say in how I earn a living. Besides, I’m in a very red county and the school knows it, there are also a lot of right wingers AT our school...
I don’t think you understood my post. When I refer to “my sixth grade idiots” I mean my students, not my personal child.
So, I can’t really take all of my students out of school... um...
And as for my daughter, since she went to public school in a very conservative county, and has a solid conservative family, she did just fine. We have to take BACK the culture, my friend, not hide from it.

I thought you meant your own kids. There is one decent school here that has a Christian principle and is not part kf the school board, but ultimately, you either toe the line or you’re out.
If more parents took their kids out, it would starve the beast. I’m not saying be a coward, but fighting from the inside doesn’t work. It never has.
As for the coward route. I’m already tried and proven over and over. I only think that the best way is to not let those disgusting, evil, vile school boards have our kids.
Do I want to pay your bills? No.
I might not even pay my own if it comes down to it. It could come in a few forms. They may make a shot a requirement to work. No, I won’t do it. They may try to make me sign some new company policy embracing LGBT or some such. No, I will not.

So it didn’t work when the leftists originally took down education? It’s a long game, certainly. But it does work. Cowards give up because results aren’t immediate.
My mother was a trauma nurse, and my father had his share of dog fights with the Luftwaffe in WW2, his nickname for me was The Pit Bull because while I’m little, I have a mean bite and I don’t let go once I start mauling.
I’m also not a chicken baby. I taught gang bangers in a title one school (six of which have been killed in gang wars.) Before that, I was a deep water lifeguard for ten years with a ton of rescues under my belt. I even had to perform the heimlich on my husband once.
All this goes to my motto: Life is hard, wear a helmet.
You’re tired, give up. You’re scared? Join the freakin’ club. Don’t lecture those who do what they have to do to survive. Further, don’t even dare evaluate the meaning and effectiveness of my work.
This is the reason why conservatives lose. We have no understanding of the long game. That’s why the left is constantly kicking our asses.
