- A man was killed Thursday morning in east Vancouver while he was apparently attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a car.
Four Seasons Auto Repair and Tire Center owner Faazan Ahmed said the man was seen on surveillance video around 2 a.m. jacking up a silver Mercedes parked in the shop’s parking lot. The jack tipped over and the car fell, crushing him.
The man’s body wasn’t discovered until after 7 a.m., when Ahmed said someone next door to his shop noticed the man under a car.

There is no real logic I could see in what car might have an expensive Cat scrap price wise. I guess it just came down to what the oem had to do to make their power train epa compliant. They aren’t going to spend a penny that they don’t have to.

I tried for awhile to buy a yugo to make a 1/4 mile car out of. My neighbor said he would help me build a tube chassis and stretch the wheel base long enough to keep it stable with a supercharged big block.
That way folks could go to work Monday morning and explain to their buddies how they got beat by a yugo.
