At a circus there’s a calamity and two lions escape.

They grab hold of a clown and start devouring him. One lion turns to the other and asks “Does this taste funny to you?”

Lions will seldom eat Divorcees, as they are often bitter.

Pretty liberal interpretation of the word “savages,” in my opinion.

—”liberal interpretation of the word “savages,””

Guessing the word has secret/dog whistle meanings, so it is seldom used?

verb
3rd person present: savages
(especially of a dog or wild animal) attack ferociously and maul.
“ewes savaged by marauding dogs”

Good thing they did not call it a cougar?

The big cat attacked once and got hit with a stick. The dumb trainer did not leave the ring. Then the big cat attacked a second time and got hit with a stick. Doh! Why not just leave the ring after the first bite? The show must go on, I guess.

I know the context in which it’s being used. I expected a more viscous attack. Maybe the violence in today’s culture has desensitized me.

There was a zoo 5 miles from our house in India. In the evenings, we could hear the roars from the male lions like it was from 2 blocks away. The loud roar is a very helpful weapon. It freezes the prey in it’s tracks, making for an easy kill. The lionesses can not roar loudly and must chase the prey at high speeds to have a chance for a kill. You will seldom see a male lion galloping to catch the prey.

Paid by the performance?

Pressed for money?

—”Worker’s Comp claim?”

For the lion or the guy with the whip?

In Illinois, both would already have legal representation.

In this country, the lion would get more rights, if the activists have any say so.

Gilmore the lion!!!
A nice find!

During a brief eight-month period, Gilmore logged over 25,000 miles in the air and was a passenger during multiple air speed record runs. When not flying, Gilmore made public appearances including at the golf course and disconcerted the mailman and other visitors to Turner’s home when he answered the door.

I’m on the lion’s side. Lions should be left in the jungle where they can live natural lives. Poor kitties.
