There is a chance that what is identified as a LENR could be something capable of tapping into the quantum vacuum of space. The quantum vacuum contains potentially an infinite amount of energy.
It’s not just theoretical. There is evidence of it thru things such as the observed Casimir Effect.

I’m glad the US is getting back into this area of research, other countries have been taking it seriously and getting results for some time.
